This platform is an online platform that brings together courses from a wide range of industries to give people the knowledge and skills they need to keep up with the transformations happening due to the progress in digital technology and the need for a more sustainable future. 

Therefore, the EIT Campus serves as a hub for a diverse array of programs covering innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies. It is designed to simplify access, enabling individuals from all corners of Europe and beyond to discover empowering learning opportunities that contribute to personal and professional growth. 

Courses are tailored to prepare a wide audience, including professionals, teachers/educators, policymakers, students, professionals and the general public, to effectively tackle the pressing challenges of our time. As of today, there are 140 courses featured on the platform in the areas of climate, food, urban mobility, raw materials, manufacturing, digital and health.

Algorithm for estimating the amount of financial support based on data obtained from an anonymous questionnaire containing: user demographics, disability data, user education and other necessary information. The module indicates possible sources of financial support and estimates the approximate amount of financial support.

The web platform was designed, programmed and implemented in accordance with all initial assumptions (project specifications and requirements). The platform has very high scores in the WCAG 2.1 validation services.

The platform was completed according to the agreed schedule and specifications. Communication with Smultron was extremely fast, and they answered all our questions about the work and the functional and technological solutions in detail.

I am a specialist at the Faculty of Agriculture and Economics, collaborating with the University's research staff in the preparation and implementation of research, educational and other projects funded by national sources and European funds.

The University of Agriculture in Krakow is a public academy providing tertiary education, conducting specialist research and educational activity in the fields of agriculture, food industry, forestry, environmental protection and environmental engineering, in all their functional aspects, i.e. natural, technical, social and economic.

Smultron developed a web tool and an interactive database on AKIS (Agricultural Knowledge and Information Systems) for the University of Agriculture, and took care of the delivery of the server and maintenance from 2014 to 2021. This service was a subcontract in the international research project "PRO AKIS - Prospects For Farmers' Support: Advisory Services In European AKIS", funded under the 7th Framework Program from the European Commission.

Smultron was responsible for the development of the web tool and database on European agricultural knowledge and information systems from January 2014 to December 2014. The scope of the contract included:

• graphic design, purchase of photos
• website layout software - coding, front-end software
• database software, creation of cms system
• creation of institution registration system
• importing a database of institutions from a csv file
• provision of a server and maintenance care for a period of 24 months
• adapting the site to mobile devices (smartphones, tablets)

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Scheduled to run for 30 months, the PRO AKIS initiative, funded by the FP7 budget, brought together a consortium of partners from seven European organizations. In the middle of the project, work began on a database of information and advisory services in 27 EU countries, which was performed by Smultron.

The provision of advisory services is one of the most important ways to improve problem solving, information exchange and innovation-generating processes. Such services can be provided by a variety of entities, including formal and informal education institutions and NGOs, but also by representatives of government or research institutions. All these institutions from the 27 EU countries have been cataloged and entered into a database, making their search available in one place.

This facilitated access to information not only for stakeholders representing ministries, advisory organizations and agricultural unions, who were able to familiarize themselves with the agricultural knowledge and information systems in place in different countries, but also for individual advisory service providers.

Deliverables included:

• institutions from the 27 EU countries have been cataloged and entered into a database
• developed a web tool and an interactive database on AKIS (Agricultural Knowledge and Information Systems)
• delivery of the server and maintenance from 2014 to 2021

All activities were planned and dissected within the implementation period provided for Task 3. Communication with the team (e-mail, meetings, phone calls) was ongoing, all concerns and problems were resolved "on the spot", which resulted in the delivery of the tool and the base within the planned timeframe.

Our existing client area was outdated and slow, slow to update with all relevant new information, and did not contain all the functionalities needed to support an expanding business model. We desperately needed a new client area which would satisfy the needs of all our users, internal and external.

We had worked with them one previous projects and were happy with their delivery and working method.

Smultron was responsible for the system architecture design, CI/CD flow architecture as well as backend and frontend development. For communication with several external services they designed and developed API. They worked in weekly sprints giving us regular feedback and updates.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We recently launched the 1st release, project is planned to last at least till the end of 2021, estimated to be extended. We have decreased manual resources needed to do updates to the data, site loads quicker for users, added multiple automated and simplified processes, created a database to support personalised onsite automated customisation, APIs supporting automated content insertion, and more.

We communicated through Basecamp, Zoom and email. Communication was instant, effective, and the team worked diligently, delivering ahead of schedule for majority of the sprints.

Very dedicated, once the team works with you, one never feels as if their time or attention is divided. Proactive, suggesting alternative solutions which will fulfil the need but better than what was originally imagined.

Pacsome is a new company from Gothenburg that challenges the packaging industry by making packaging accessible to everyone.

We hired Smultron to custom build our website and to connect to our already existing 3D tool. All was done from scratch with a tight dialogue throughout the whole project. The goals was to get a smooth web structure with a easy to use backend.

Smultron gave me a informative, structured and professional image right from the beginning which the have held throughout the whole process.

On our side we done all web design which Smultron developed and handled perfectly. They also gave us a lot of good information on the way which led to improvements. They've been using Angular, Wordpress and PHP to build the web structure.

Through API they have connected to our design program, Chili Publisher. In the scope there was a fully functional and custom web shop, user accounts, case/inspo pages, payment, shipping, design elements to our design tool.

We had one project manager that has been my main contact, behind that there has been frontend developers, backend and testing. This is where I think Smultron is doing a really good job.

Everything is well done, no bigger bugs, and always been informing us if something might take a different turn or such.

I am very pleased by the over all cooperation which is also why we are still working together. The web page turned out as planned, even better than I had in mind. Everything is working as planned.

As I have described earlier, I get the information needed at all times. Jakub is always easy to get hold of, they are working fast and when needed they put the little extra into it.

The scope of the project was to gather all requirements for the project, analyse them to create the final scope, decide over the technology stack, develop the application, launch it and handle the maintenance of the working system.

Application was deployed on the development, stage and production environments, based on leading PHP framework, MySQL database using AWS infrastructure and later Azure Web Services.

I worked with three people, communicating almost exclusively with the CTO of the company that was a project manager on the Smultron side. Other two was the frontend developer and backend developer.

The project was delivered, me and my client were happy about the results. Whole complex task was performed professionally without any major problems.
