For what projects/services did your company hire SmashTaps Pvt Ltd, and what were your goals?

We needed help with building our regulatory database, mainly on the Front-end with React

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had a previous experience with SmashTaps in the past. I found then and now that they are doing a great job, with high quality and on time

SmashTaps build out FE in react and also did some work on the BE with NodeJs. SmashTaps joined our scrum teams and worked on UserStories/Bugs from the backlog as all other engeneer did, we worked with them for over 2 years. SmashTaps QA also joined our QA team for writing and execute tests to keep the product safe and well tested

SmashTaps provided high-quality code and tests on sprint bases that were integrated with our main application

SmashTaps joined our scrum teams and worked on UserStories/Bugs from the backlog as all other engineers did, We used Jira/Gitlab/Jenkins for project management

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are always online to compensate for the time difference. Fast in hiring new engineers to meet our project goals. They have a high-quality execution and open, productive communication.

For what projects/services did your company hire SmashTaps Pvt Ltd, and what were your goals?

We hired SmashTaps to build an audio chat network for those working from anywhere. Our goal was to create a live forum and coaching environment that fosters job growth by giving everyone access to each other’s knowledge. We wanted to follow a modern look and feel with great user experience that attracts professionals.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our investor selected SmashTaps because they have had worked together on multiple projects before.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We initially provided them with a Product Requirements Document and then we had several meetings to define the project scope, identify technologies, processes, standards and methodologies. Then they translated them into User Stories on Jira, their Project Management tool. Project scope included design and development of the iOS mobile application (including the backend) and the marketing website.

They started with creating User flows, Wireframes and then moving to designing the UI elements and prototypes on Figma. After incorporating our feedback, the designs were finalized. Then the development phase was started which included a research on real-time audio communication – a core feature of the app. Each build was shared with us via TestFlight for feedback.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Project Manager, UI/UX Designer, Full-Stack Developers and a QA Engineer were assigned to this project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

UX was finalized within the first 1.5 months and then the core features of the application were developed in the next 4 months.

We had status update meetings via Google Meet twice per week with the Project Manager. They maintained good communication and kept us informed about any challenges/blockers as well via online meetings and email. We were able to give design feedback directly to the designer via Figma. TestFlight was used to share incremental app builds to get our early feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were a fast-moving, creative team; they were able to deliver prototypes and changes ahead of schedule. High attention to detail and great communication throughout the project.

We were happy with the overall results we got.
