I’m the CEO of a Hefty Brains, and we’re a game development studio based in Mumbai. We develop and publish games on various platforms such as Android and iOS.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sigaap?

We needed someone to help us develop games on various platforms.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Sigaap is our outsourcing partner in game development and publishing. They develop games based on the documents given to us by the publishers. 

Sigaap creates a game from scratch, and some of the games they developed are Sudoku, UNO, and a shooting game. The games are then released on three platforms called Mobile Premier League, WinZ0, and a platform for HTML5 games. These platforms generate revenue based on advertisements.

The game development process is very iterative. They work through the initial documents we give them and throughout the development, they provide us with updates and data on the progress. Documentation is a must-have because we can check the specific features and decide what we want to keep and take away.

Basically, I send them requirements for new games, they develop them, and I publish them. Every three months, they deliver one game to us.

We work with two developers, a programmer, a 3D artist, and a project manager.

How did you come to work with Sigaap?

I found them through a connection of mine, and a work-for-hire app. I liked Sigaap’s profile because all of them have over 15 years of experience. I felt very confident with their suggestions, experience, and expertise.

We’ve invested around $13,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

The ongoing engagement started in January 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Ever since partnering with Sigaap, I’ve seen less errors in my games. The games are perfectly made and the turnaround time is very fast. Whenever we get user feedback, the publisher reports it to us, and because the communication is really great, the response time from the team is really awesome.

How did Sigaap perform from a project management standpoint?

Sigaap manages new and old games flawlessly. Whenever we raise a query to them, it’s all fixed within the same day — even if it’s the weekend, they always make sure to respond. We typically communicate through Skype, and share documents and files through Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One thing I like about working with them is their experience — they think way ahead of us. Even with my 20 years of experience, their experience combined enables them to give the best suggestions for development. The Sigaap team is the best problem solvers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think they could do better by having a bigger team. If they have more people, things could go a lot faster. If they also have contact with a concept artist, that’s specifically required for the games they develop, they would save so much time and resources.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If anyone wants to work with Sigaap, I would suggest they have to provide pointers based on the product that they want to build. This helps the team break down those pointers into tasks, and estimate the trajectory. There should be a form of document you’re going to provide them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was killed by Anirban and his team, where he mentally harassed my team member multiple times without delivery of anything. Also after giving the advance he blocked our profiles on WhatsApp and upwork pointing towards a financial fraud.

Management is good for nothing including anirban and Pradeep. They killed the project.

Nothing is impress as they took money and went underground.

They should work without advance to prove that they can deliver. Not only scam people.
