As a public body Regulator,established by the Department of Health  everything we do is focused on care by supporting high quality standards in the social work and social care workforces. Through this work we support the development of a strong and professional social work and social care workforce providing quality care and the best outcomes for people who use services and their carers.

Enabling the delivery of Registration and Regulation activities through the mobile APP channal. Soical Work and Soical Care registrants having access to their standards, abilty to manage their registration account, pay their fees, update their details and connect with the Regulator.

Key Deliverables

1.An easy to use Soical Care App well designed and supportive of the soical work and social care workforce

2. An intuitve log in account access for all soical work and social care registrants

3. Seamless integration to the Regional Microsoft CRM Registration solution for all Northern Ireland Soical Workers and Soical Care practitioners

4. Active notifications and fees payment process which is easy to use and seamless for the registrant

5. Easy access to all registrant learning and support material published by the Social Care Council

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

This is a local Northern Ireland company who were extremely repsonsive and knoweledgable about the Northern Ireland Soical Care Council and its regulatory reponsiblity for Soical Workers, Social Care Practitioners and Soical Work students.

The relationship has been a strong partnership with Scaffold always identifying opportunties for consideration particularly around the artificial intelligence space and what the Regulator could do to further support registrants.

This is a company that is immersed in our core values of respect, integrity, partnership, and excellence and it is testament to the time and investment that Scaffold and its staff have put into understanding our digital needs as the Regulator of the largest health and social care workforce in Northern Ireland.

This is a strong local Northern Ireland company who cleary have skilled and knowledgable profesisonals working in the digital and APP sector.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Head of Development at Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful - we are an environmental charity dedicated to making Northern Ireland a cleaner and more pleasant place in which to live.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Scaffold Digital?

We have an EU project on Bathing Water Quality to give real-time bathing water predictions. We are leading the Communications element of the project and that included developing an APP for the general public to be able to check bathing water quality and events on their local beaches.

What were your goals for this project?

The App needed to be: Simple and Clean to Use; Be accessible on all the main mobile platforms; be able to connect to an API to receive the remotely uploaded bathing water quality information and to be easily updated.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We contacted all of the local companies to invite them to tender, we shortlisted from the replies by the deadline and invited finalists to pitch and Scaffold were the best contender for our budget, outcomes and time constraints.

We had a start up meeting and a time line set up so we could check progress at any time and review meetings along the way and evaluation meeting post completion.

What was the team composition?

We mostly went through our key contact who was the project manager Sarah-Jane) who was excellent and we were aware of a larger team working away in the background.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were very pleased with out App in ease of use and also for a niche area the download numbers have been good.

Great workflow easy to track software and great contact whenever needed.
