BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Head of Development at Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful - we are an environmental charity dedicated to making Northern Ireland a cleaner and more pleasant place in which to live.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Scaffold Digital?

We have an EU project on Bathing Water Quality to give real-time bathing water predictions. We are leading the Communications element of the project and that included developing an APP for the general public to be able to check bathing water quality and events on their local beaches.

What were your goals for this project?

The App needed to be: Simple and Clean to Use; Be accessible on all the main mobile platforms; be able to connect to an API to receive the remotely uploaded bathing water quality information and to be easily updated.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We contacted all of the local companies to invite them to tender, we shortlisted from the replies by the deadline and invited finalists to pitch and Scaffold were the best contender for our budget, outcomes and time constraints.

We had a start up meeting and a time line set up so we could check progress at any time and review meetings along the way and evaluation meeting post completion.

What was the team composition?

We mostly went through our key contact who was the project manager Sarah-Jane) who was excellent and we were aware of a larger team working away in the background.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were very pleased with out App in ease of use and also for a niche area the download numbers have been good.

Great workflow easy to track software and great contact whenever needed.
