What challenge were you trying to address with Qwerty?

We engaged them for their web development services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Qwerty provides us with web development services. They’ve helped us build our website, handling everything from development to design. Moreover, they’ve helped us transfer all our data, which is on paper, into the website.

Currently, their team is still adding specific features to the site, including live streaming. Our main priority for the site is its speed because we plan to upload a huge amount of videos. Once the site is completed, we plan to continue working with them to build an application.

What is the team composition?

We work directly with five people from their side, including developers and members of the management team.

How did you come to work with Qwerty?

We met them at a Formula One race, where we started talking about doing a collaboration.

What is the status of this engagement?

We met in July 2022 and started the project around September 2022. Our engagement is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

So far, we’re pretty satisfied with Qwerty’s services. They’ve delivered everything they said they would, and our site is working as it should.

How did Qwerty perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver everything on time and are always available and responsive. We communicate with them through phone calls and Messenger.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with the level of expertise that they have. For instance, their team suggested that we shift to US servers, which are faster and have enough memory.

Are there any areas they could improve on?

No, I’m pretty satisfied with Qwerty’s work.

I work at a financial services company as the chief digital officer.

What challenge were you trying to address with Qwerty?

We hired Qwerty to develop a mobile app for our bank. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Qwerty has handled our mobile app's UI/UX design and development. They’ve used React Native for the development and Figma for the design tasks. The team currently maintains it. 

In terms of features, the mobile app can do a range of things, such as transfers, top-ups, bill payments, account transfers, third-party transfers, physical or virtual card ordering, account openings, deposits, loan applications, and more. 

Moreover, the app is available in six local languages in Georgia. End users can also change the cover design of the app according to what they want. On top of that, they can email us through the app. 

What is the team composition?

We work with 7–10 people. There’s a project manager, but we usually talk to their founder and CEO directly since he’s personally involved in the project. 

How did you come to work with Qwerty?

One of my teams had looked Qwerty up. At that time, they were just a startup and were willing to take us on as one of their first main projects. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement started in January 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve had more than 40,000 app downloads so far. Georgia has a population of around 2.5 million, so around 20% of the population has downloaded the app. Some features are user-friendly, while others don’t work — but that’s the life of prototyping. Our teams share the willingness to move and change fast, adapting to our customers’ needs. 

How did Qwerty perform from a project management standpoint?

Qwerty meets deadlines and stays within our budget. We use Jira for project management, and our communication happens through a mix of available channels. Our teams meet regularly through Teams and Google Meet. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We don’t need to foresee everything for Qwerty to think proactively about the tasks. They challenge me and see what our competitors do to give helpful suggestions. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They can be more similar to traditional development companies and have their top management be more involved in daily projects. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have the correct priority list and the same understanding of the project. Ensure that the timelines are achievable and confirmed.
