Pristine Tech has been a proven partner in many different capacities over the past 5 years. They have built a SaaS product, a complex headless WordPress LMS integration, simple websites and custom applications. All the while maintaining great communication, a high level of quality, and a true sense of collaboration and partnership through each unique project. I continue to use them and recommend them as often as I can.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Many high quality projects were completed according to the spec and are in use serving thousands of users. One website alone serves 30,000 students from a WordPress based LMS that was optimized for security and scalability by making it headless.

Communication is clear, regular, and proactive. They either deliver on time, or communicate clearly about roadblocks in advance to keep expectations clear and accurate.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive quality of Pristine Teach is their willingness to collaborate and partner with my company and our goals. In a partnership, I'm looking for experts that will express their own ideas and strategies based on their experience, and not simply take instructions and execute without thinking. 

I found other off-shore development teams to lack the communication skills and confidence to propose new and better ideas. Pristine Tech brought their ideas and made each product and project better.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Pristine Tech could have done differently?

Defining scope and communicated expectations is a very real challenge in software development. There may have been opportunities to better define things on the front end that would have allowed us to get ahead of some of the challenges that we faced further along in the project.

SOW 1: Develop a Minimum Viable Product that will accomplish capabilities below.

• Restaurant managers can add and remove ingredients, add and remove dishes on their menu, add and remove categories from their menu, preview and save their menu, set and edit branding, and customize QR codes.
• Restaurant menu users/customers can navigate menus, view individual items, and see item customization options. 

SOW 2: Add the capabilities described below to the Minimum Viable Product

• provide general troubleshooting support, and incorporate user feedback. - Add an Admin Layer: Foodi Menus team has admin/collaborative menu functionality.
• Add New Functionality: Product users can see font previews, drag and drop reorder dishes and categories, adjust images, 'quick edit' their menu, set dietary considerations functionality, configure/print physical menus, access more templates, dynamically attribute side items, preview side items, access user flow/walkthrough pop-ups, access undo and redo buttons, and access initial item review setup.
• Update Non-Product Functionality: Make updates to auto-email language, set a 2 menu versions cap with payment wall for more than 2 and secondary payment wall for more than 7 menus
• Improve Existing Features: Improve the timeline feature, make dynamic color updates where relevant, improve spreadsheet input ease of use, add more QR code editing capabilities.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We managed to perform market research with the Minimum Viable Product and get our first paying customers with the refined version of the Minimum Viable Product.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Pristine Tech was very responsive to our requests. Items were delivered on time early in the development process but as our priorities shifted and we gathered more user feedback it became difficult to keep to timelines - especially as new items were added to the original SOWs and certain priorities were adjusted or features requests were removed. I believe Pristine Tech could have kept to the timelines originally established if it wasn't for our company's scope creep.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

While the product Pristine Tech built us has been flexible, dynamic, and responsive - of the the biggest benefits of working with them has been that their team is equally flexible, dynamic, and responsive. They understand the uncertainties associated with building a startup, testing an MVP, and going to market, and did an amazing job of supporting us through our growing pains. Before Pristine Tech, Foodi Menus was just an idea. Now we're a business.
