We provide social-emotional learning and mental wellness support to neurodivergent kids, teens, and adults through expert-led, interactive gaming sessions in safe, moderated online environments.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pixelmatters?

We needed help to move more quickly regarding our website development and conversion rate optimization.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pixelmatters built our entire website from scratch multiple times over several branding redesigns and CMS migrations. The team built and refined our acquisition quiz flow engine, designed and developed all of our email collateral, and deployed dozens of A/B tests on our site. They also helped us implement our cookie and privacy tools.

We had three team members assigned to the project.

We previously worked together at a previous company.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April 2024–May 2025.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We saw an improved conversion rate on the site and an improved completion rate of the quiz. When we started working together, our conversion rate was around 0.6%, and it’s now 2.5%. 

How did Pixelmatters perform from a project management standpoint?

Pixelmatters was extremely fast. The team met the expectations they set when we initially scoped out longer-term projects and had near-instant turnarounds for our smaller, more repetitive asks. They were truly best-in-class and extremely reliable.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Pixelmatters didn’t feel like external partners; they did an amazing job slotting themselves into our work streams. They also were clearly invested in our success, which can be rare in a partnership.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If anything at all, I’d say a revisit of scope and timelines when projects ballooned over the course of working through them could be improved.

None as of yet but we expect engagement numbers to rise after this UI/UX revamp.

They were extremely fast and responsive and went beyond what we asked for to provide a great and speedy experience.

Maybe a quick rehash of the initial documents prepared during the start of the project when the project is close to conclusion. To tie everything up and make sure nothing was missed.

Pixelmatters help collaborate with our engineering leads and Founder to iterate designs for upcoming features. From initial concept, wireframes/prototypes, to final polished handoffs.

We were able to revitalized a stagnat design system, validate mission critical features, and get ahead of engineering for the first time in Qtrs. They were fantastic

Through a mixture of basecamp and weekly check ins, as well as slack, PM was always available to us

They had extremely talented designs who could proactively give suggestions and implement UX best practices. Solid communication even though had a +- 5 hr timezone difference

After an initial set-up phase during which we outlined the rules of engagement and how we would work together, they made proactive choices and delivered items on time.

Their ability to navigate the complexities and quirks of working with a startup (us) that didn't necessarily have this project as a priority

Perhaps driving the project more pro-actively and suggesting alternatives from the get-go instead of waiting on us to tell them explicitly what to do. This was mostly our "fault" though and we corrected it within a few weeks/meetings

The main challenge proposed to Pixelmatters has to create a universal language for Easypay at the UI level. With that language we advanced the redesign of our front-office.

They are very detailed oriented, and always keep us on the loop. Everything is delivered in time and as expected. They very good at give you realistic expectations. Very important when we have a partner to be able have realistic deadlines. :)

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Average duration per visit used to be under a minute. Now it's average at 3 minutes. We didn't have a baseline for pages per visit, but anecdotally we know visitors are finding a lot more value from the information displayed on the site.

The team was great. Provided a dedicated project manager that made sure deliverables were being passed through every function efficiently. Great communication over slack and virtual meetings. Everything was delivered on time, even with some scope changes.

I was impressed with their commitment to high standards of work. Never worked with an agency that was so obsessive about quality - definitely ingrained in their culture.

More tiered services and pricing structures so we can do more work with them!
