What challenge were you trying to address with PHPDots Technologies?

We hired them as our technology providers for all our systems, technologies, and web-based tools.

What was the scope of their involvement?

PHPDots Technologies has built our website from scratch. It has a public and private part and carries different features. For instance, the site has a login function, and our clients can find different types of useful data once they log in. The team has used several programming languages to develop the site, including Laravel. They’ve also done some basic SEO work.

What is the team composition?

We work with around 15–20 people from their side, including various types of developers, UI/UX designers, business analysts, project managers, and QA testers.

How did you come to work with PHPDots Technologies?

We did an extensive search, and they were one of the finalists, so we engaged with them on that basis.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $100,000 to $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the engagement in June 2017, and it’s still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re happy with the services they’ve provided so far. The site they’ve built from scratch is up and running smoothly and contains all the information we requested. Overall, the results of the project have been excellent, which is we’ve been working with them for the past five years. 

How did PHPDots Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet their deadline and make themselves available even outside of business hours. Also, whenever we encounter any bugs or problems, they address them right away. We use several tools for project management, including Trello and Jira. For communication, we interact through Slack, Skype, Zoom, Google Meet, etc. It’s a large project, so we practically use almost every tool available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their project management style is very impressive. They’re also very efficient, hardworking, knowledgeable, and good with communication. Additionally, they deliver outputs that are far superior to some of their competitors.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, things have gradually improved throughout our engagement.

Any advice for potential customers?

I would highly recommend working with them because they’ve done a pretty good job on our project.

We had a lot of goals and functionality in the idea for our site. We needed a development team that could tackle and overcome many obstacles while maintaining a high-quality output.

Upon first meeting with Jitendra and PHP, he really believed in our idea and gave us peace of mind in knowing he was the right person to develop our website.

We had several meetings with PHP and discussed our vision. We spent a lot of time on designs and discussing our vision. PHP helped us decide the right technology to use.

We worked hand in hand with Jitendra, several project managers, and many developers during the duration of our project. We continue to work together.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

PHP was able to develop every feature we envisioned, overcome every challenge and help us to improve our product even further. Having the best performance and the best product was always the utmost concern.

PHP had great daily communication with work logs, management software, and responsive responses.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We have worked with other development teams in the past and always had difficulty in getting what we truly wanted. PHP has proven to be a great, dependable team that finds a way to make it happen.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I really can't say there are any areas that have been lacking or need improvement. Every issue we've had has been resolved quickly and completely by their team.

I am the Chief Technology Officer at Indusface, a SaaS company which secures critical Web applications of 2000+ global customers using its an award-winning platform that integrates Web application scanner, Web application firewall, CDN and threat information engine

For what projects/services did your company hire PHPDots Technologies, and what were your goals?

We wanted our core development team to focus on other initiatives and needed a team to take over the existing WAS portal, maintain and extend it. Since this is a live portal, we needed a capable, trusted team for this.

How did you select PHPDots Technologies and what were the deciding factors?

We knew the founder, Jitendra Rathod, from earlier professional association and projects and knew him to be technically proficient, articulate, affable and excellent at project management. We also spoke to other employees to verify depth of talent in the company, with a deeper dive on the members assigned to our project.

They took over and extended the WAS portal - frontend, backend and associated services like scheduling, API integrations using PHP (CakePHP) Worked with Indusface team to innovate, extend, design & develop solutions including developing an API for integration with AppTrana and other 3rd party scanners.

1 senior architect, 1 senior developer and UI, QA and additional developers as needed based on deadlines

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

A definite velocity increase in delivering needed features since deadlines are always met without any compromise in quality. They demonstrate a high degree of ownership of portal and integration APIs.

Online - email, skype, teams and f2f meetings as needed. Code is maintained in bitbucket and deployment is done using a CICD pipeline. They are always available on phone as well to discuss and resolve issues. PHPDots Technologies never miss deadlines and often take the initiative to think through and solve issues that were not part of the initial spec. In our interactions they were more like our extended dev team than consultants.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Excellent support - always approachable and available for any critical issues. I can recall numerous occasions where, when we had customer issues, the PHPDots team worked long hours, sometimes even when on vacation. I am also very impressed with the way they took up and own the complex, multiple proprietary and 3rd party scanner solutions, that scales between 5 - 50 machines, with scheduling, job consolidation, error recovery etc.

Another unique thing is that they develop holistic solutions based on the problem, in our case managing large and complex datasets, and not just provide a cookie cutter solutions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We have been working with PHPDots for years now and we have both learnt from each other and built better engineering discipline.

PHPDots helps Kaptaine and Seekmi to build. All our IT needs, from server to programming, is handled by the PHPDots team. Sometimes resources are not required full time so their team arranges those resources on a need basis. Technical skills are great at PHP Dots.
