Owlab Inc. has led a smooth coding process with little to no revisions needed from our team’s end. We’ve only encountered minor bugs, which haven’t deeply impacted the system’s performance.

I founded CollectiWise in 2018 based on my masters research. It involves crowd intelligence and a rather complex user interface which Owlab built for me.

Owlab were recommended by a trusted source and they succeeded where many failed and thus earned their trust.

A complex react front end was designed and built, two docker backend services were setup, with algorithms running on them that I built myself and that are based on large open source packages.

4 people worked with me; a software manager, two engineers and a designer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

A highly complex system was built, my own ideas were corrected where they were mistaken or where I was missing important aspects. Ideas were corrected and brought to work practically. Also, a complex user interface was highly simplified for the users so that cognitive overload was reduced or eliminated. Branding was also done really well.

We are working in an Agile way and according to best practices, confusion is quickly eliminated where it shows up and we’re generally working in short two week sprints.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

That they can deal with high levels of abstraction as well as complexity. This is very rare to this degree. They’re also highly creative and hard thinking problem solvers who can handle projects that were born in information science.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It’d be great if they could also handle the Google Cloud, architecture and networking etc

I’m the founder and CEO of LawThor. We’re a marketplace for lawyers and attorneys.

They built our website, including content, backend, UX/UI, and so on.

We contacted Owlab about two years ago and described our business and what we wanted to achieve. They took the information and created the website— we provided some documentation, but they built it from scratch.

The site is for attorneys to set their profile so people can see their areas of specialization and CV. Owlab has built a search feature to navigate the website easily, and we have a publication feature with different articles and publications. Also, there’s a new page where people can get the most relevant legal news.

What is the team composition?

They probably have more people working on the project, but we’ve communicated with 3–4 people. In the beginning, we talked to the CEO; he walked us through all the steps. We’ve had an account manager and someone in charge of the technical side.

Someone recommended them, so we got in contact. Owlab exceeded our expectations, and it was very easy to communicate with them.

Owlab Inc. has built our Android- and iOS-friendly mobile app from the ground up. Upon discussing our requirements with them, they've devised a development plan and executed the necessary solutions to create a platform that allows foreign patients to communicate their needs to their doctors through subtitling, translations, and detailed images.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I can't share any quantitative metrics at this point since we're still in the process of analyzing the app's performance and awaiting the feedback of our main stakeholders. From our perspective, Owlab Inc. has developed a well-designed platform, and we haven't encountered any bugs or crashes that can potentially impede its performance.

We communicate via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, and email. Owlab Inc. is on top of their project management game, and we appreciate how they stick to our agreed budget.

Owlab was recommended to me by a friend and, after a couple of calls to scope my requirements, and a review of previous works I decided to go with them. Their CEO, Vitaliy, was extremely professional in his approach and very quick to respond throughout the process

After a few scoping and kick-off meetings we provided a spec and wireframes for the app we wanted to build. Owlab recommended we build in Flutter and we agreed a fixed price for the work to be done. We needed an app for deployment in App Store and Google Play.

We are still in progress with development and I am very happy with the results so far. The work has been broken down into manageable sprints and, to be honest, our core team has been unable to keep up the pace with back-end support and API delivery as Owlab deliver so quickly!

What was the scope of their involvement?

Owlab Inc. led our full-stack software development efforts to accomplish our platform. They initially conducted thorough research to identify the API flow across our whole software system.  Their team implemented complex solutions as they built the platform's front- and backend, including API integration to enable cross-platform access via Facebook, Telegram, and Twitter. 

Upon finalizing the system, Owlab Inc. focused on building its UI/UX design to refine our customer experience through an accessibly designed software platform. Using Python and ReactJS, they created multiple iterations and made sure to incorporate my design draft, which they also improved to fit technical requirements. Finally, their team deployed the software solutions on their cloud server and infrastructure.

Our company is running a different production campaign no, so the platform they developed is no longer in use — however, we were able to rely on it for a good amount of time.
