The scope included building responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile, ensuring pixel-perfect design accuracy, optimizing site performance, and implementing an SEO-friendly structure. Key deliverables included the complete WordPress site build, custom theme development, integration of dynamic content sections, and thorough cross-device/browser testing before launch. After deployment, Ordex has provided ongoing monthly maintenance, including bug fixes, plugin updates, and general site upkeep.

The site launched on schedule and met all design and functionality requirements, with a fully responsive experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile. Post-launch, performance benchmarks showed fast load times and smooth navigation, and the build was delivered with clean, maintainable code, making ongoing updates seamless. The monthly maintenance has ensured consistent uptime, security, and stability, with no major site issues since launch.

Envision Digital Pty Ltd is a software implementation, integration, automation and digital enablement business. We are located in Perth, Western Australia. In July 2021, we launched envisionBX, this is a Connector App between Xero and BambooHR. We achieved this with the help of a Research and Development grant from the Australian Government. We have had a very good takeup of our envisionBXApp and we now want to move from working with a Third Party Software Development Partner, to bringing our Connector software development in-house. 

Ultimately, we require a highly experienced Product Development/Engineer who is familiar with the use of Jira and Agile Development methodologies. We have high levels of documentation, we require high level Product Developers, who are English speaking, first class planner, communcator and project manager. We need a team that is capable of transitioning us to becoming our own product development company. We intend to provide a long term plan, including equity, for the right candidate. I needed a skilled team to build out our website and its mobile app version from head to toe, so we hired Ordex.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ordex built and coded everything for us: our machine learning AI and our entire platform. It was a really complicated and complex task because they not only had to build a thinking brain, they also had to train it. They helped us build a tool that could pull jobs from other websites. 

What is the team composition?

We’ve come to interact with a total of five people, but our main point of contact has been Jenis (CEO) from the very beginning. I only really speak to him while he’s the one who manages his team.

When I started the company, I had hired two engineers who, after a year, ended up stealing my money without delivering the product. It was a total nightmare. I needed to hire someone who would be able to execute my vision.

Thankfully, I was referred to Ordex by another business owner who loved their work. I met with Jenis and have not parted from him since.

I don't even think it's possible to measure the impact Ordex has made on the company. They've literally built the entire foundation of our business, so it’s beyond what any metrics can express. I’m extremely happy. I love their work.

On a daily basis, I talk to Jenis through call, text,  WhatsApp, or Zoom. I also receive updates from the team via email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Jenis, in particular, is very transparent and timely. His whole team is very knowledgeable. What really makes them stand out, however, is their honesty, which is a really hard thing to find in this space. Any team can just instantly lock you out of your entire business — which happens way more often than people think — but I’ve never had that fear with them. 

Besides developing a really competitive piece of technology for us, they’ve also helped us through different aspects of our business. Jenis is a great person to talk to about design, marketing, and business as a whole. They’ve provided beyond what I’ve asked of them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I honestly don't have any criticisms. We’ve had issues with the deadlines in the beginning, but we were able to work that out. Any working relationship has its kinks, but nothing we experienced has turned into a huge problem.

Be super upfront about what you want. Everyone has different expectations, so be clear about how you want each team to work and be transparent about your expectations from day one.
