Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the President and CEO of Bits and Bytes Technology Solutions. We’re an IT consulting company specializing in onsite staffing and project work. Most of our projects are turnkey and small scale for startups and small businesses.

What challenge were you trying to address with OmniBridge Solutions?

The economy of scale is such these days that when you do turnkey software projects for your clients, especially the ones that are startups and small businesses, all of them are cash strapped. They’re all looking for stable solutions, yet they don’t have the financing in place to support a high-end solution. That’s where you team up with an off-shore firm to tap into the price advantage.

What was the scope of their involvement?

It was an end-to-end delivery. They didn’t just do part of the work. They did the full scope. We engaged with the client at the very top level and tried to understand what they wanted as their final product, and, based on that, we involved OmniBridge to come on board and delivering the full scope on the agreed timeline and budget.

They’ve done quite a bit of work, and most of it has been on open platforms, from web page development to portals for financial transactions. They’ve done design, development, testing, and integration, and on most all projects they provided mockups as well.

What is the team composition?

I work with the top leadership, but I also get half a dozen technology staff that I interact with.

How did you come to work with OmniBridge Solutions?

Since we’re in that space, we’re always looking for a good delivery arm off-short. I’m always engaged in some sort of conversation with companies like that. OmniBridge came into the picture through a common friend who introduced me to their top leadership.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since January 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s hard to measure because some of the startups are well below the threshold that they have in mind; it takes 3–5 years to get where they want to go. When we design a system, we’re talking about 100,000 hits per week, but in the beginning, they may only have 5,000 or 10,000. The actual results will be seen in the long term when they hit their threshold.

On purely look and feel and experience terms, the product owners have been extremely happy. We’ve had 100% retention of such clients because they keep coming back for more work.

How did OmniBridge Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They did a phenomenal job. They were able to understand our client’s expectations and manage them successfully. When we start a project, there’s a huge wish list that we know isn’t completely manageable in the time and budget they have in place so there’s a dialogue with them to explain what’s ‘must-have’ and what can be added onto a later date when things improve.

Once the scope is carved out, it’s about getting the team together and the work done, which they also excelled at. 90% of the projects are delivered in the promised time, and the 10% was mostly because the client was dragging their feet or things like COVID-19.

What did you find most impressive about them?

In the service industry, and this is service if you look at it in a holistic manner, the critical things you look for are consistency, quality, and dependability. Those are the three items in which I found they went above and beyond their competitors. They always — even at times when the project went beyond the initial scope without a corresponding budget change — maintained quality.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The retention of key people is important, but we all know how crazy the IT market is. Everyone keeps getting better offers than what they have right now, so it’s hard to retain an employee for a long time, especially for smaller companies.

It will also be good to have a presence outside the country to establish more one-on-one with the top leadership. When you’re 10,000 miles away, it’s sometimes difficult to do things. These are not big issues, but those are the two issues I would think to change.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They have what is needed to be successful, but it’s a numbers game. Longer-term, higher budget projects are better for them.

I am the co-founder and project manager at Monjin Interviews Pvt. Ltd. Our company has about 70+ employees with branches in India, USA and UK. Monjin empowers users to assess their skill by our experts and showcase it to various fortune 500 employers using video interviews . Employers can search for the talent from our database of interviews and view the assessment along with the interview.

For what projects/services did your company hire OmniBridge Solutions?

OmniBridge was hired for developing mobile app for one-way video interviews and candidate registration module of Monjin. Monjin for one-way interviews enable users to take an interview using a code received or candidate can register on Monjin and get to their dashboard to view all the invites , job opportunities and completed interviews.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to develop one-way video interview and candidate registration module of Monjin for mobile on Android and iOS. Goal of the mobile app is for the convenience for candidate to take interviews even on low bandwidth and candidate registration to increase user interaction. We needed a simple to use app which can be easily maintained and updated.

How did you select this vendor?

We shortlisted few mobile development companies based on their past reputations and few based on good references we received. We met few of them to discuss our requirement and hear their inputs. After receiving initial pitch from them we narrowed down OmniBridge based their willingness to work closely with our team, post app-launch support details and their price point.

Describe the project in detail.

We had initial discussion with OmniBridge to walk them through the modules we wanted to develop on mobile. We showcased the module on web and defined the scope of the project. OmniBridge came back with screen design and after approval from our end they started on the development and api integrations. Development was broken into sprints and app was available for testing after every sprint. Ones everything was ironed out app was launched and OmniBridge was available for support at every stage.

What was the team composition?

OmniBridge team consisted of a project manager, 1 developer each for iOS and android along with a QA.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our one-way interview app was launched in March 2019 and our candidate module was launched in Dec 2019. We have been receiving positive feedback's from the user. App has more than 1K+ download's and positive reviews on play-store. We are looking forward to increase in traffic after the candidate module was launched couple of weeks ago.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Both teams communicated daily to start with and then weekly during the development phase. We connected over the phone, skype and in person when needed for frequent updates

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was most impressed by the knowledge of the team and ease of communication. OmniBridge team was available even in odd hours to help with critical situations. They helped with analytics and improving the UX of the application.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We were satisfied with the overall quality and efficiency of work done. Testing the app from OmniBridge end is one area where I would suggest improvement.

We are a small business located in Sydney, Australia, and we write and manage a number of software applications that work with QuickBooks. Our work in the past has ranged from time tracking apps to systems integrations, and I’m the owner and designer for the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with OmniBridge Solutions?

We operate on the lower end of the market, so cost-efficiency is one of our principal drivers. We were looking for a partner who would be able to deliver a product at a lower rate than could be met locally or with in-house resources.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They handle different aspects of our software development across a variety of applications, including web-based, iOS, .NET. We primarily deliver designs and specs to them, and they handle the coding and testing of the application.

What is the team composition?

We have a main point of contact for the day-to-day relationship management, and then we have specific project development and QA teams who are coordinated by a project lead.

How did you come to work with OmniBridge Solutions?

The search for outsourced coding initially started on a freelance website, where we posted some jobs that they did for us. We liked their work, so we developed a more ongoing relationship from there.

How much have you invested with them?

I’m not sure of the exact figure, but I know we’ve spent a few hundred thousand dollars over the years that we’ve worked with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We have worked on a litany of applications with OmniBridge Solutions, starting in 2007 and continuing today.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

OmniBridge Solutions is a great company. We’ve been very satisfied with the quality of their work, and their team members consistently display excellent knowledge of the domain. They are often able to provide suggestions and improvements that we are able to implement in order to produce a better final product.

How did OmniBridge Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very reliable and highly motivated. They always demonstrate an interest in making sure our company succeeds, which makes the project significantly more enjoyable to work on.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve worked with a variety of teammates from OmniBridge Solutions, and without exception, they are willing to put the work in when it’s required to meet deadlines.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Over the years, we’ve done a lot of retrospective evaluations, and have made a lot of improvements in our communication and collaborative process. So, we are always continuing to improve together, but I don’t think there’s anything specific that I would fault them for.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Our company comes from a software development background, so we understand how the process works. For companies that might not have that level of context, it is especially important that they are able to communicate their requirements clearly and set the goalposts right off the bat. However, you also have to be able to be flexible as the project evolves to incorporate new or improved designs.

We are pleased to receive the deliverables from the team. The new UI is more interactive and intuitive.

The UI/UX team was fairly available to our queries and regular responses and updates based upon the feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team's collaborative process, understanding user's needs, and made changes swiftly were impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

More ideas on what could have been improved upon the UI. The rest was great!
