This is the worst mistake i have ever taken from a business standpoint . I DO NOT RECCOMAND anyone to deal with octal. They did things within my app that i did not ask for and they charged me thousands of dollars for something that i could not make live. for example, They did not make my app dark theme friendly and when this was brought to their attention, they wanted to steal more money from me.
The app was rushed and they just wanted to complete the app without taking into consideration any of my request. They demanded i pay more money if i wanted anymore changes not taking into account the thousands of money i had already spent.
The whole team is terrible at what they do. Laveena, and Rahul were the people that i had dealt with from Octal. If you want to build a successful app PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!! DO NOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY. You are better off spending money in your own country to get something of a high quality delivered to you. Save your money and do not contact Octal.

A recent review from one of our client Roda Oma. Roda wanted to develop a dating app for which the scope of work was documented agreed & signed by for a budget of $12,000. We delivered on time as per signed contract.
Below points show client was careless and how wanted new changes for FREE.
1. Things were good till a marketing person came in and added things beyond the scope stating it should be developed by default. After the app was uploaded on play store her new marketing manager added new changes ignoring the agreement.
2. The client ignored regular work progress emails & after repeated follow up she stated that did not have testing team & still accuse us for delays.
3. In good faith we did multiple changes for free, even after signing off the project & completing FREE support period.
4. Client did not bother to clarify anything on her own instead bothered us for all small things. Even after going an extra mile clients allegation that we were replying late is unacceptable.
5. Dark theme friendly changes were fixed perfectly at no cost. As other extra Change Request’s which were going to take month's work, we denied to fix it as it was not part of the scope of work.
6. She was aware of the feedback system and always threatened us with poor review to get extra work for FREE.
7. Overall, Roda was highly unprofessional. She never checked anything on her own and always blamed her own mistake on the team.
We request you to consider the above points and if required we can even provide proof of the above claims and would look forward to a fair decision as such clients black mail services companies to get FREE services.

Project management was pleasant. The project manager had much responsibility and deadlines were tight. Not everything has been delivered on time or delivered to spec. We had many setbacks due to issues on both sides. One of the main areas where project management could improve is changing the methodology of how projects are handled in that waterfall is too restrictive and an agile approach would greatly smooth the project progression.
Another reason this could have been difficult was the restriction of only using 1 developer/person during the entire project. being at opposite ends of the timezone made communication difficult as well as our companies are 5.5 hours apart. tools such as Trello, Skype, zoom and email were used.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The most impressive aspect of Octal IT Solution was their ability to develop any request we had. They understood the project and its needs. They delivered on the functionality of both the front- and backend, flawlessly, as designed with us. This also was impressive given that they used 1-2 developers for the entire project.

The App being multi language required more work and translations so we had a few back and forth to finalise and get a good version.

Honestly the Project manager was nice and understood my concerns but still ended up with a catastrophe of an app.

The whole code written was faulty and after consultation the whole app needs to be revamped. Overall, they did a horrible job.

We strongly feel the review shared is a result of some misunderstanding. The project discussed here was handled by an experienced project manager from our team and he had a continued discussion with the tech expert of the Rafiki Group.
The first complaint they have is that we did not share the team composition. We deny this as we have a copy of proposal that was shared with them, and it clearly mentions the team composition in detail.
Talking about the codes and designs it was verified at each milestone. Not just this, even after a month of the app being live they came to us with some modifications in the app operations and not with errors and bugs in the app. Clearly they had no issues with the code and design until then.
The team at Octal IT Solution is available to connect with you even at the wee hours. Each communication was conducted well in time and there were no delays in any important discussion.
Project deployment was delayed because Apple Store denied approving any dating app. We further added a few features to make the app a little more than dating app to get it approved.
After each milestone we have waited patiently for the reviews and would go ahead only after affirmative responses. We strongly condemn such defamation reviews on behalf of miscommunications.
I hope we can consider our part of the story too before coming to any conclusions.

We hired Octal IT Solution to develop a feature-rich Real Estate Portal for us.
What were your goals for this project?
The goal of the project was to have a Real Estate portal beyond the typical listings allowing real estate developers and agencies to serve their clients in professional way, using up-to-date technology. We wanted to develop a platform or one-stop solution for buyers, developers, property owners, individual brokers and brokerage firms where users get the ability to quickly navigate and get maximum exposure in the most cost effective way.

How did you select this vendor?
We looked for vendors on Google having good experience in this domain and approached 4-5 companies. We chose Octal IT Solution due to their experience and their ability to grasp the needs of the project while also being cognizant of the total budget.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
We needed a Real Estate portal for listing and marketing solutions for Real Estate Professionals and Users. In terms of features and functionality, the website lets users search for property listings and contact the builder or agents. On the other end, developers, property owners, individual brokers or brokerage firms can manage the properties’ listings effectively. And through the administrative panel, we can manage all the users and properties listed.
What was the team composition?
Initially, I spoke with the Business Analyst to explain the project’s concept. After, we approved the contract and began working with a project manager. He was my primary point of contact, making communication easy. I think the project team had 4 developers and a quality analyst to check the functioning of the website and the app.

While it is only a few months into deployment, most of our agents who are using the portal are happy with it.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Project management was pleasant. The project manager had much responsibility and deadlines were tight. The manager shared a list of milestones with us so we could keep track of their progress and evaluate each new release.

The most impressive aspect is their ability to develop any request that we had. They delivered on the functionality of both the front-and backend, flawlessly.
