I’m the founder of PureSkins General Trading Company, a beauty treatment booking platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with o2one Labs?

Our industry is fairly new here in Kuwait, and we’re trying to target beauty services but in an app form. I needed to find a company that could understand the local culture and create the app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I initially met with the o2one Labs design team and they provided two wireframes for both iOS and Android platforms. They were very welcoming to any modifications and after we agreed on the design, we began with the native development.

o2one Labs was helpful and came up with great ideas. They employ an agile approach, which I liked as well. They developed an application for our users which allows them to view services and book appointments. It also works as a software system for service providers.

What is the team composition?

They assigned a project manager that consistently informs us of the project's status. o2one Labs also assigned two frontend developers for iOS and Android, one backend developer, a QA specialist, and a UI/UX designer.

How did you come to work with o2one Labs?

I searched online and found six companies which I then narrowed down to three. I needed all the help I could get and saw that o2one Labs targets startups, which really I liked because I was looking for a company that would understand how things work for new companies. 

I ultimately decided to go with o2one Labs because they understood my idea clearly and were able to work locally, which was a big plus for me. The price they gave me was very fair as well.

How much have you invested in them?

We have invested around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement began in November 2018, and we’re currently working on the second phase of the project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since releasing phase one, we have had 5,000 app downloads. We have had a good number of appointments booked and have received good feedback from users.

How did o2one Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project manager’s continuous updates are greatly appreciated and communication has been very good. We have calls quite often, which has made the engagement very easy, and we use Slack to keep in touch. They also provide access to their Jira so that I can see the project’s progress, which I think is very transparent. Overall, everything has been delivered on time and get phenomenal technical support for the live version.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their transparency and how they’ve maintained the relationship with us the whole way through is amazing. We’ve built a level of trust with them. They will tell us right away if there’s an issue and have kept us involved from day one.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think so. They’ve given me confidence and support and have maintained that throughout.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would advise anyone to work with them because they are very trustworthy. I highly recommend them.
