We have several web applications that need to be debugged and new feature implementation to be added the critical bugs have been already addressed and we are now in the phase of addressing less critical bugs and modernisation of the application. The next phase will be to implement the new features listed from our client base feedback

All the critical bugs have already been addressed in a very short time. Future development and less critical bugs are now progressing at a slower pace giving also the complexity of the new feature this was expected

The Developer/Programmer role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
• Collaborate with management, to identify end-user requirements and specifications
• Use program specifications to prepare the logic sequence of program source statements in the development, modification, documentation and maintenance of programs.
• Produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements
• Test and deploy programs and applications
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software
• Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance
• Convert and assist in the upgrading of existing LMS
• Ensure that the system is available with 100% of up time excluding regular maintenance intervals where new programming or updates are necessary to accommodate user needs
• Design a program for preventive maintenance with back up capability to ensure that data and system capacity is not lost during system fixes

1) Conversion and assistance in numerous upgrades to improve system performance

I can trust the work of this team and their constant attention to detail.  My senior programmer listens well and will often bring up items that I would not have anticipated to be problematic.  He thinks ahead and sees the bigger picture.  He is available at all times to respond to system or client problems, often working on his days off to resolve critical issues.  If there will be a delay, he'll inform me promptly and give me a realistic timeline to share with my customers.  I think trust is a key issue  and I am always confident that they are working in my best interest and would not take advantage of my company or lack of knowledge in their areas of expertise.  They are considerate of my budgets and will tell me if certain services that I have contracted for are no longer necessary.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

When contracting for services in another country, and as a small business owner with very big IT needs, I was very hesitant to put my faith in a company that I had never heard of before.  From the very beginning I was put at ease as Ravi, their Project Manager helped me to design a plan that was affordable and perfect for my complex requirements.  I've been utilizing their services for three years and our LMS has been customized to suit the needs of my clients in ways that I could not have imagined when we first met. They care about me and my business and I hope that they will continue to be a part of my team well into the future.

I am the CTO and co-founder of Mooctors, an online tutoring platform connecting students and tutors who teach online courses.

What challenge were you trying to address with NexusLink Services India Pvt Ltd?

We hired them to do the integration of a payment gateway using Stripe so that the tutors from all over the world can get paid for their lessons.

We’d worked with another company that built the whole platform for us, but we stopped working together because of some disagreements. The development was stopped at the point where the payout integration was to be developed, so that’s why we needed support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The whole platform was there, so they just needed to change the payout integration to a different solution. We chose Stripe because of our third-party integrations and its ease of use in other countries, so they implemented that as our payment gateway. 

What is the team composition?

I have been directly involved with four people from their team. We worked with one developer, one managing director, two business development people, and additionally, one accounting person.

How did you come to work with NexusLink Services India Pvt Ltd?

I found them through Upwork and my initial call with them was quite positive. They did research to understand what we already had. They asked really good questions which gave me an indication that they did their research and knew the domain as well.

How much have you invested in them?

For the first stage, it was around $2,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together at the end of April 2020. The main development task has been completed but we’re currently testing it before we go live and move into the next stage of development.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The testing was comprehensive. The best thing is how they don’t only do what I tell them, they also come up with ideas and brainstorm ways to find a better solution. Their support is good and that’s the type of partner I want. 

How did NexusLink Services India Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management perspective, I work directly with the developer because it is a small enough task. During that phase, I had weekly calls with the developer because I am also from a tech background. I didn’t want anyone in the middle so it’s been easier for me to handle the work directly. 

They send me a daily report in terms of three bullet points of what their task was for the day, what was planned,  and if they found any roadblocks. They send those to me every day and it helps keep us on track. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

As it has only been a short time so far, I would say that they are really proactive. They are thoughtful and strategic about the work, doing more than I ask of them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

So far, not yet.

With any company, communication is key. As long as you find the right way to communicate with the project manager or the developer, that’s important.
