**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the CMO and communications officer at Red Cell Partners, a venture capital and incubation firm.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with The Future Forward Inc.?We hired Nick (Founder & Managing Director) and Future Forward to work on the branding, collateral, and website design of one of our incubation firms.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? When we engaged with Future Forward, we had a series of fact-finding calls to help them understand our business and what we were trying to build. This way, they could properly help us with everything from our brand identity to creating our logo, colors, typography, collateral, website design, and content. From there, we started working on naming the brand. We had multiple rounds of naming sessions, which were hard because most good names were taken. We then shifted to the visual design. They provided lots of concepts, and we responded to those concepts, telling them what liked and disliked. After that, they put together all the elements that we liked and refined them. They then created deck templates and printed collateral such as business cards and letterhead. From there, we moved on to website design. They created our website and wrote the copy we needed. At present, we’re working on the final components of the website. We’ve started the development process, and we’re hoping the site can go live by the end of 2023. For technologies, we mainly use Figma. What is the team composition?Including Nick, we’ve worked with three teammates from Future Forward. The project manager keeps everything scheduled. Evan (Senior Designer) works on our design needs for our visual identity and website. How did you come to work with The Future Forward Inc.?I took over their old office space when I was running a consulting business. That was when I met them and started following their work. A few years later, I joined our company and needed to hire branding teams. I’d always been excited about working with them, so I reached out and thought their offerings were compelling. As a result, we hired them for this project. What is the status of this engagement? We started working together in January 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? The quality of Future Forward’s work is top-notch. They’ve done a fantastic job in the naming process and created something meaningful. We’re truly happy with where we’ve landed. Their design presentations have also been thoughtful. How did The Future Forward Inc. perform from a project management standpoint? They’ve met our deadlines and budget. Nick, Evan, and the project manager are all great. They’re a pleasure to work with and incredibly talented. We communicate a lot over email and hop on Zoom for meetings. We use Figma to collaborate on the designs and share our comments. What did you find most impressive about them? The quality of their work is absolutely fantastic. They’re also easy to work with, which I appreciate. Moreover, they’re flexible and good communicators. They’re constantly looking for feedback on their process just so they can iterate and improve, ensuring they’re providing the most helpful services. We’ve worked with them through ups and downs, and they’re not pushy. They genuinely want to partner with us, which is unusual for outsourced service providers. It speaks a lot about their team members and the kind of organization they have. Are there any areas they could improve? No, there aren’t any. They’ve been responsive to feedback, which has been great.                  Do you have any advice for potential customers?Know your business better before embarking on any branding exercise. Provide more context and be clear about your goals. This way, the process will be more efficient. On top of that, establish expectations and deadlines early. Tell Future Forward upfront how you want to communicate.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the marketing director for Trapolin-Peer Architects Company, an architecture firm based in New Orleans, Louisiana. We specialize in adaptive reuse, new construction, and interiors for design projects along the Gulf Coast.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**

The team demonstrates responsiveness, timeliness, and dedication in delivering a site that resonates with the client's vision.
"“Since the site launched, our site’s bounce rate has gone down from 90% to 8%.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the marketing director of Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture, an architecture firm.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with The Future Forward Inc.?Our website was over 20 years old and very outdated. We were more of a wider spread architecture firm in terms of our services back when the site was built, and we’ve since honed in on the recreation market over the past 20 years. We wanted our website to reflect our new client base and focus of work, so we decided to look for a company that could help us do that.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? The Future Forward Inc. rebuilt our entire site from scratch using MODX. They began the project with a kickoff workshop, followed by site map development, web design, and web development. We’ve already launched the site, but The Future Forward Inc. still provides us with hosting services and technical support. What is the team composition? We’ve worked with Nick (Founder & Managing Director), Meg (Project Manager), Jonathan (Partner & Creative Director), and Sandino (Web Developer). How did you come to work with The Future Forward Inc.?We found The Future Forward Inc. online when we were searching online for development firms with prior experience working with architecture firms. How much have you invested with them?We spent $70,000 on the website design, and we pay them $1,000 per year for the hosting and support. What is the status of this engagement? We started working together in December 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?Since the site launched, our site’s bounce rate has gone down from 90% to 8%, which we’re really happy with. Our time on site has also gone up almost a full minute, and we’ve seen a 7% increase in our sessions per user.In terms of the quality of their work, I think they’ve done a great job. We wanted the site to be the perfect balance between colorful and sophisticated. We wanted it to be out of the box, but not wacky and unapproachable. The Future Forward Inc. managed to find the perfect balance in terms of the site’s design and look and feel. How did The Future Forward Inc. perform from a project management standpoint? The Future Forward Inc. has performed well in terms of project management. They’re always very responsive to all of our emails. Because of our schedule, we set up all of our workshop dates at the kickoff, and we managed to adhere to all of those schedules throughout the project. We didn’t need to reschedule any, which was great. We primarily communicate through email and Zoom. What did you find most impressive about them?I admit that we weren’t the easiest client to deal with. We were very particular about what we wanted for the site, and we went through a whole lot of iterations to get to where we wanted. The Future Forward Inc. has been very patient with us throughout — they listened to us, showed us a lot of different concepts, and went above and beyond to give us what we wanted. It was evident that they really wanted us to be happy. They definitely understood our culture in terms of who we are and what we were trying to represent, and it showed in the final product. Are there any areas they could improve?Once we finished the project’s design phase and moved on to the development phase, the communication got a little bit weaker. There were also a few things towards the end of the project, especially with regard to the site’s launch, that I wish they communicated more clearly with us.I also think that we really could have benefited from meeting in person, even just once. We originally planned our first kickoff meeting to be in person, but because of the spike in COVID around that time, we ended up not doing it.Do you have any advice for potential customers?Don’t hold back — be honest and speak your mind about what you want and what your goals are.

We already had some branding, such as a logo, for our firm which The Future Forward used and presented in a way that reflected our company and values. The site’s look and feel went through several iterations during the process. They helped us crystalize our ideas into the site’s final format and design. After the design was finalized, The Future Forward proceeded to develop the website from scratch. We launched our website in October 2019, and since then Future Forward has been hosting our site. They’ve also created a CMS so we can update the site autonomously. What is the team composition? We worked with The Future Forward’s managing partners, their head of design and branding, their senior technical lead, a client services person, and a developer. How did you come to work with The Future Forward Inc.?We ran a RFP and shortlisted companies. We invited each company into our office to present what they could do for us, checked examples of their past work and asked for cost and time estimates. From the shortlisted companies, The Future Forward’s bid stood out.The work they had done previously was very impressive, and we also saw the time and care they would give to us. Just looking at their body of work told us they were operating on a premium level of design that we didn’t see in other bids. In addition, the number of design iterations and in-person meetings that they were planning to have with us were superior to what their competitors were offering. How much have you invested with them?We spent $110,000 on the project. What is the status of this engagement? We started working together in April 2019, the website was launched in October 2019 and website hosting is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? It’s tricky to provide statistics regarding The Future Forward’s work because we didn’t have any analytics running on our previous website. Additionally, our project’s goal wasn’t based on numbers, but rather it aimed for a qualitative result — we wanted to communicate our brand to our clients and potential clients with a high-quality website. We have a significant presence in our industry and having a professional-looking website was important to us. Since launch, we have received a lot of very positive feedback on our website. After industry speaking events and engagements, for example, we always see an uptick in web traffic and clicks.  In addition, the CMS The Future Forward developed has added allows us to update the website without their help. The website is very reliable, and we’ve had no issues with it since it went live. Our cybersecurity partners have also told us that it’s a very secure and robust website. Overall, the website The Future Forward has developed for us is precisely what we wanted and needed as a firm. How did The Future Forward Inc. perform from a project management standpoint? The Future Forward is excellent in project management. They stuck to their scope and timeline; the project was on time and budget. There was great communication throughout the process. During the design iteration, we had a lot of back and forth about the landing page and website flow and layout. The Future Forward was very game to discuss any changes that we wanted and communicated clearly how long any changes would take to implement. What did you find most impressive about them? The Future Forward has provided us with white-glove and premium service — that’s reflected in how they executed the website's design and development and how they communicated with us throughout the project. They’ve remained available after the website has been launched and helped us with our CMS-related questions.Additionally, The Future Forward’s attention to detail is impressive. Our logo appears in three dimensions on page transitions and we have a home page with impressive moving graphics — little things like that adds to the premium quality of the site. Our website exudes our brand and what we wanted for our company. The site also looks beautiful on mobile devices. We didn’t have to ask The Future Forward to make it mobile-friendly; they just made the site responsive, functional, and amazing. Are there any areas they could improve? We can’t think of anything. There haven’t been any missteps in this engagement, and it has been a collaborative project from the outset.Do you have any advice for potential customers? You need to know your goals and try putting them all on a piece of paper from the outset. Be very clear on what you want to achieve and what’s important to you as a business. Once you’ve done that, you can trust The Future Forward’s process and you should follow their advice. You can rely on The Future Forward’s keen eye for design in all aspects. Be open to communicating with them because they will be very open to your ideas and to speaking with you.

**The Review** — Aug 30, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: The client is happy with the high-quality design, and they’ve incorporated some of its elements into their own brand guidelines. Multiplica (formerly The Future Forward Inc.) has stood out for their organization and expertise. The team follows schedules and listens to feedback, and they’re able to provide solutions.
""Their ability to grasp what we try to accomplish with our branding is extraordinary. It’s been a great experience.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the owner of Cosine. We’re a complementary lighting design agency. We design architectural lighting layouts and procure the products for the projects.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with The Future Forward Inc.?We already had a strong brand identity, so they helped us build out a website using that. Then, they also pushed our brand forward by taking the preliminary design handbook and changing things to elevate our overall aesthetic.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? The Future Forward has built the WordPress website, including the layout and function. They’ve also created a couple of brand components that we’ve ended up using on all of our identity and collateral.Initially, they did a lot of preliminary research on the content that we ultimately selected. We provided them with raw images, and they edited them to post them on the website. The site is a basic portfolio site, but one key piece is lead capture. They’ve developed a typed form that captures leads as people navigate the site, so we’re pushing them to convert and submit a project. Also, one of our concerns was contacting them to publish content or teaching our marketing team how to post on WordPress, which were both undesirable options. Instead, they connected our database with the website. The images are tied to Airtable, so the site fetches the content every five minutes and publishes it.What is the team composition? The owner is involved, and we have a project manager and a design person. I’m not sure how many people are behind the scenes; we’ve never met them. The project manager is our main point of contact. They collect information, set appointments, and more. How did you come to work with The Future Forward Inc.?They reached out, and we took a look at their portfolio. We noticed a couple of mutual connections with some brands, so we called our contacts. Everyone gave great reviews about them, so we decided to go forward. How much have you invested with them? We’ve done some work outside the initial scope, so we’ve brought it above $50,000.What is the status of this engagement? We began working together in February 2021, and our partnership is ongoing. They don’t do maintenance, but we can reach out to them if we need them.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? It’s been amazing to work with them. Creative companies often lean on their clients to direct the project, which hasn’t been the case with The Future Forward. Also, the design they came up with is very impressive. The background with moving gradients on the homepage is something that we hadn’t come up with in our original design package, and it’s so compelling that we’re now using it for all our branding. How did The Future Forward Inc. perform from a project management standpoint? They had a clear process from the beginning, and they’ve adhered to the schedule to keep the project moving forward. The team has been diligent in taking our feedback and processing exactly what we said. If they miss something, they solve it quickly. Overall, they’re excellent to work with. What did you find most impressive about them? They’re tremendously organized. When they ask questions, it’s clear they’ve asked them a hundred times to different clients over the years. They know the answer they want and how to drive us to that answer. If we push outside the requirements, they’re able to figure out how to incorporate something new.Additionally, their ability to grasp what we try to accomplish with our branding is extraordinary. It’s been a great experience. Are there any areas they could improve? It took them some time to deliver the final product, which we would’ve liked to execute quicker. I think the delay was due to an outsourcing issue — they were going through iterations with a third-party developer, so it took longer than expected. However, this is our first project of this magnitude, so we’re not sure how long this usually takes.Do you have any advice for potential customers?Just do it. If the way they’ve worked with us is any indication of how they work with others, then it’s an easy sign-up. We can’t speak highly enough about The Future Forward.

With clear project direction and a mindfulness of the tight timeline, the team was able to revamp the old website into a more high-end, intuitive, and administrator-friendly version.
""It's easy to go off the road on projects like this but they did a great job of keeping our teams aligned.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I work with AE Works, a building design and consulting company. We are headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with offices throughout the mid-Atlantic region including Washington, D.C. and State College.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with The Future Forward Inc.?We were looking to reimagine our very outdated WordPress website in order to support our subtle rebranding and repositioning.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Future Forward set the design and development direction, but we had already set our vision and goals for a website with a high-end design experience. We moved out of WordPress and put our new website up on MODX, with Future Forward providing the hosting and integrating Google Analytics. We’ve just finished up on the rebranding of our logos and templates. They’re now offering ongoing support for our website. What is the team composition? We primarily worked with three people: their two partners and the project manager. There were three more members that came in during the development phase. How did you come to work with The Future Forward Inc.?I looked into the website of other companies in our industry and found Future Forward in the footer of one of them. What is the status of this engagement? We started in October 2020 and we’re still working with the team.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? Our website traffic has increased significantly, which has us excited. We’ve also been very impressed with the design of the website; it’s really high-end, intuitive, and makes it easy for me to create and post blogs. Future Forward has done a super thoughtful job of putting everything together according to our brand standards. How did The Future Forward Inc. perform from a project management standpoint? We had a very condensed timeline but Future Forward was very responsive and understanding. They came to every meeting prepared with items for us to discuss, which helped us effectively navigate the challenges for this project. They set a clear schedule for our meetings, responded to all of our questions, and accepted our feedback. We communicated via Google Docs and email. It was clear to see that they had confidence in executing the design vision. It made this experience so much better than the website development processes that I've been through before. It's easy to go off the road on projects like this but they did a great job of keeping our teams aligned. What did you find most impressive about them?Their design vision is impressive. We came to them with an idea of what we wanted to achieve and they created options and designs for us to look through. Are there any areas they could improve? No, they were great to work with. Do you have any advice for potential customers?Let Future Forward do their work. They’re experts in website design and branding and they have a lot to offer in terms of creativity and vision.

**Feedback Summary**: Overall, the client is happy with the website’s design. The company commends Multiplica's (formerly The Future Forward Inc.'s) design quality, describing them as strong and well-synthesized. Their project management and communication skills are also praised. Overall, the team is highly organized and cooperative.
"“The clarity of their process is impressive.” "

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the president of a 60-person architecture firm in Denver, Colorado.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with The Future Forward Inc.?We wanted to redesign our website, which was old and dated. As a result, we hired Future Forward to update it while reinforcing our brand.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Future Forward rebuilt our website. For this project, we wanted a website that users could more easily navigate. They should be able to find information few clicks. Overall, we wanted them to simplify the site’s UX design so end users could access our content in a better way.To do that, they built a series of prototypes that highlighted the content we provided. The site also had sections where we spoke about our processes, principles, and ideas that drive our brand. They must also highlight that information.  Currently, the website is live, and the team provides ongoing maintenance services for us. What is the team composition? Our main point of contact is Nick (Co-Founder & Managing Director), and he has a project manager and a content developer. How did you come to work with The Future Forward Inc.?Future Forward was recommended to us by a peer who had worked with them at another design firm. Initially, we interviewed 3–4 firms that we sourced through an RFP. Our team identified the firms through the high-quality websites we’d seen and through word-of-mouth references. Future Forward was one of those companies, and we ended up choosing them. What is the status of this engagement? We formally had them on board in June 2020 — right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic — and the relationship is ongoing. The website, however, was completed by December 2020 and formally launched in January 2021.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? Future Forward’s designs are strong and well-synthesized; they’re simple, clear, and very well done. Team members also have a wonderful emphasis on typography and the basic details that drive good graphics. How did The Future Forward Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?Their project management is good. We have an internal project manager who serves as a person-to-person contact between our teams. That manager follows up on our meetings, schedules, to-do’s, content, and deliverables. Future Forward also had a project manager, and their relationship with our manager works out quite well. To communicate, we use email and Zoom. What did you find most impressive about them? The clarity of their process is impressive. It’s highly organized and well-thought-out in terms of discovering the narrative that’s necessary to build the website. On top of that, Nick has proven to be an exceptionally articulate, engaging, and compelling team leader. Are there any areas they could improve? As architects, our team imagined that the design phase of the project would have a bit more discovery and iterative explorations. Instead, Future Forward’s team quickly proposed a design direction and moved forward with that. It wasn’t a bad thing — after all, it’s worked out well for us — but a slightly broader discovery process at the outset could’ve been more beneficial for the project. Do you have any advice for potential customers?Have a clear internal team structure around content development and decision-making. Having a one-person team is easy, but if several heads are contributing to the project, a clear team structure is necessary. On top of that, you should have a clear process of gaining consensus. This way, you can communicate with Future Forward in an organized way, which is highly beneficial to the project.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Future Forward Inc.?We hired The Future Forward Inc. to create our brand identity and develop websites for our three businesses.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? The Future Forward Inc. designed our original brand identity, from our logo to our websites. We provided them with inspiration for the look and feel that we wanted to achieve, and they ultimately came up with a brand new, unique identity. When they worked on the subsequent companies within our parent company, they developed those brands so that they were consistent with the overall aesthetic of the parent company. They built our three websites from scratch. What is the team composition? My team worked with a designer and a developer. How did you come to work with The Future Forward Inc.?We did a decent amount of market research into branding and development firms that had worked for other design studios, and The Future Forward Inc. had done the brand identity and web design for a local design studio whose work we admired. How much have you invested with them?In total, we spent around $40,000. They were focused on budget, process, and timely delivery. The final creative result was always excellent, and the journey to get there was invariably stress-free. We didn’t have to deal with complications or roadblocks. What did you find most impressive about them? The Future Forward Inc. builds websites from scratch. The Future Forward Inc. was good at listening to the brief and delivering on it, so the process ran itself.

"“Multiplica (formerly The Future Forward Inc.) was a great creative partner.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I am an associate at NEXT Architecture, an architecture and interior design firm.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with The Future Forward Inc?We were looking to update our website and reposition our brand.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? The Future Forward Inc built us a new website from scratch. Our new website is built on MODEX. They manage and host our site. Their team also performed SEO and built-in different ways for people to share our different projects or photos so social media, including Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. At one point we wanted to reduce costs and decided to put things up on our website ourselves, and The Future Forward Inc was really helpful. They did a training session so we could load the rest of our projects ourselves. What is the team composition? We had two main points of contact, Nick (Managing Partner, The Future Forward Inc) and Jonathan (Creative Partner, The Future Forward Inc). How did you come to work with The Future Forward Inc?We found them by looking at the websites of other architecture firms. As we found some that we liked a lot, we saw that they were credited to The Future Forward Inc. We liked that their website was simple and presented their past projects beautifully, which was exactly what we wanted. A friend who works in advertising in New York knew about them and said they were great, which was an extra comfort. We reached out to them and decided to work with them. How much have you invested with them?We have invested about $28,000. We also pay them $1,200 a year for maintenance. What is the status of this engagement? Our engagement with The Future Forward Inc ran from February–July 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We did analysis to compare our opportunities from last year to those from this year, and while it's impossible to trace this to the website alone, we have noticed an increase in opportunities since the website was completed. We use Google Analytics and the traffic to our website has significantly increased. Additionally, we rank higher in searches now for our target keywords. Our website is clean and streamlined, we get compliments from people across the board. We’ve been using it as a tool in the office and when we meet new people we always pull up the new site to show the different work that we’re doing. Customers also love that they can share our projects on social media and our online presence has improved overall. How did The Future Forward Inc perform from a project management standpoint? They were great at project management. Things always come up, but they were very straightforward with us on timelines. I always knew what was going on. Nick is a very good communicator. We had a couple of issues on scrolling and transitions, but I struggle to even call them issues. It was a process of us looking at things together and working around anything that came up.The Future Forward Inc sent us still images as PDFs. Within the PDFs they had links to AVI files that would show us animations of how the website would work. Our team would mark them up and send them back. Additionally, we would have conference calls so they could present everything to us remotely. What did you find most impressive about them? The Future Forward Inc was a great creative partner. The website they delivered was truly unique from their other work. Nothing they create is formulaic. They create a clean design with simple storytelling, nothing is gimmicky. It was very clear that they were doing something fresh and creative. Are there any areas they could improve?I wish they were more local to us so that we could talk to them in person. Honestly, it wasn’t a big deal because they did come to our office for an initial meeting. Overall, I don’t have any bad things to say, it was an easy process.

"“They have the ability to simplify our vision into a streamlined design.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I am the director of marketing at Bold New York, a real estate creative marketing service. We over web design, web development, and branding for new or re-developments in all five boroughs.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with The Future Forward Inc.?We were looking to design a website for a building development in downtown Brooklyn.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? The Future Forward Inc. developed a WordPress site from scratch. We began with a phone call where our teams went through a series of discovery questions. This then led to the first phase of site mapping.Their team showed us site mockups through InVision. The Future Forward Inc. sent us three variations of a home page and a secondary page. Once we selected one of these versions, they designed the remaining pages based on our continued feedback. They finished with the development phase once we had signed off on all of the designs. The process was very fluid and we got to see development links ad they progressed. The CMS is managed through WordPress but their team did some custom work as well. What is the team composition? We had two main points of contact on their team, Nick (Managing Partner, The Future Forward Inc.) and John (Creative Partner, The Future Forward Inc.). How did you come to work with The Future Forward Inc.?I frequently visit a site called Site Inspire for web design inspiration and saw an architectural site that The Future Forward Inc. has worked on. Their work was impressive, but I ultimately reached out because I saw that they were Brooklyn-based.How much have you invested with them?We invested about $40,000.What is the status of this engagement? Our engagement ran from June–September 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We get regular analytic feedback and the website has been very successful. We have seen an increase in conversions through the contact form on the site which is our main KPI. The site was also featured on Site Inspire, which is a difficult process to get featured. We have received good feedback on the design of the site. How did The Future Forward Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?Working with The Future Forward Inc. has been great. We have had steady communication through phone calls and email. Nick gives me regular weekly updates on our progress. What did you find most impressive about them? They have the ability to simplify our vision into a streamlined design. The Future Forward Inc. created something really sleek and simple that really cleaned up the UX on the frontend. Our site is much easier for the user to navigate thanks to their team. Their development was also great and the site works really well. They’re a great group to work with. We’ll continue to use them in the future if we have the right scope for their team. Are there any areas they could improve? No, they’ve been great.Do you have any advice for potential customers? The more you communicate with their team the easier the process will be. It’s important to share both your needs and even future plans for the site, which includes how it might scale or any additional features you might want to add. Things could potentially come up so it helps to make sure there are no surprises. Building your expectations and making sure your teams are on the same page will make that process easier, especially if you expect changes down the road.

**The Review** — Aug 15, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: The team exceeded expectations and produced an excellent, on-brand, attractive website that mirrors the company’s ethos and aesthetic. They were communicative, responsive, and delivered the highest quality within the budget, all while continually offering hands-on service.
"“Future Forward was able to deliver a unique, specialized website that reflected our brand.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m presently the director of client development with VMDO Architects and formerly the director of marketing and business development for Eskew+Dumez+Ripple, recipient of the American Insititute of Architects’ “Firm of the Year” award in 2014.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with The Future Forward? We had challenges with visibility and length of stay. The former website had been designed by a local advertising agency, and while it had unique graphic design, it lacked the best protocols for navigation, backend analytics, and SEO. We also had to call the agency each time we wanted to incorporate video and widgets. It needed coding updates, too. Lastly, we wanted to position the brand to reflect the firm’s growth, expertise, culture, and process.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? We selected The Future Forward through a thorough RFP and interview process. The Future Forward launched their engagement by a 5-question survey followed by two separate trips to New Orleans to work with our broad studio in an effective and efficient way. In tandem with the web design overhaul, The Future Forward was developing a new brand identity and accompanying design guidelines. Once the design guidelines were complete and there was consensus on the website navigation, the site was wireframed and populated. Our internal team continued populating the site, with regular feedback to the Future Forward team. What is the team composition?I worked with Nick (Managing Partner, The Future Forward, Inc.) and Jonathan (Creative Partner, The Future Forward, Inc.). There were additional talented folks involved behind the scenes as well. Nick was our regular and consistent point of contact, and Jonathan would weigh in as needed, for art direction. How did you come to work with The Future Forward?EDR had a comprehensive crowd-sourced list of nearly 20 web designers. We issued an RFP to five of those firms in mid-January 2018 and had Skype interviews with them in late-January, finally selecting Future Forward. How much have you invested with them?I left the firm in early November. At that time, we were commissioned for nearly $70,000. They pulled off a remarkable breadth and depth of services including new branding and accompanying design guidelines and website design. Other firms had quoted over $100,000 for similar services. What is the status of this engagement?Contractually we collaborated from March 2018 - February 2019. I understand that EDR is continuing the collaboration with additional website hosting and support.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? Our bounce rate has decreased significantly since the launch and the length of stay has increased by over one minute. The site has improved aesthetically and now marries with the expertise and design acumen of Eskew+Dumez+Ripple. I’ve recommended Future Forward to other architectural firms and PR/marketing professionals within the industry. How did The Future Forward perform from a project management standpoint?Nick would respond within 48 hours of any inquiry. We mostly communicated over phone calls and email. We would also have Skype calls and walk through wireframes at regular intervals. It was remarkably streamlined—even with the FF team in Brooklyn and our stakeholders in New Orleans.Remarkably, The Future Forward met our modest budget and really achieved the consensus that we needed, from a design perspective. What did you find most impressive about them? They certainly provided the backend technologies and SEO support. They were brilliant at meeting my budget and building design consensus with my team of design professionals. Most importantly, they really understood us and nailed our identity, really getting it finely nuanced through every touch. We were very clear that we did not want a template site. We wanted a unique visitor experience. One that would attract a visitor through design and keep them on the site for the layers of expertise. Future Forward was able to deliver a unique, specialized website that reflected our brand. Are there any areas they could improve?I wish there were more Jonathans and Nicks. They both are responsive, hands-on, and they envelop the clients with whom they’re collaborating. I applaud them for being so selective of the clients they take on—I’m really fortunate that we were able to work with them.Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?First, hire them.Second, do your homework before hiring a web designer. In order to maximize our modest budget, we had internally identified:Clear and tangible goals for the websiteAn internal delivery team and process, setting aside dates for weekly meetings, studio-wide charettes, and key milestone datesPrecedent websites for our criteria (aesthetics, navigation, culture, blogs, and case studies)A timeline with ample time on the backend for populationThis was clearly outlined in an objective RFP, through which we make a selection. Finally, map out a timeframe, Know the budget and decide if you want a third-party web company to populate the site, or if that will come from internal staff, and budget accordingly.

### Creation of digital team - outsourcing
We continuously support BBVA in building its Design and UX team. ### Serino – Branding and Ecommerce Website
Our journey with the Serino team started with a series of conversations to align with their vision, product offering, and positioning. We wanted to fully understand the forces that lead them to their apparel concept, to the material story, all the way to production, packaging, and distribution opportunities.
The visual identity system is rooted in the concept “Exceptional without Excess,” where, (like their apparel) every detail is considered and has a clear purpose. The system is bold, simple, and distinctive, reflecting Serino’s positioning and values.
The ecommerce website acts as a natural extension of the brand, allowing users to experience the simplicity of their garments free from distraction. This hyper-focus on the essentials enables the Serino brand to stand out from the noise in the d2c fashion landscape.

### Creation of Digital teams for BITSO
Effective and direct communication for the creation of a digital team.
We started collaborating with Bitso when the company was born, and the Bitcoin world was still unknown in Mexico. At that time, they required assistance finding a Head of Design and a UX Writer to conclude the design process and launch a digital product. As the company grew, they approached us again to help build their digital team with new profiles.

Recruitment for the creation of a digital team.

### Bunsa Studio – Branding and Website
We were recently commissioned by Miami-based interior design studio Bunsa to reimagine their visual identity and digital portfolio experience. With an impressive project list and well-deserved recognition throughout the industry, the firm was in need of a brand presence that lived up to the work they put into the world.
As we gained an understanding of their culture and approach to interior design, we sought to create an identity system that was bold, colorful, and simple, with a wordmark rooted in a Bauhaus typestyle. The identity then led to the design and development of their new website, which places an emphasis on their impressive body of work through large imagery and immersive layouts. Finally, we implemented Craft CMS – a modern, headless content management system – enabling the Bunsa team to manage all of their content with ease.

### Consulting and recruitment to boost eCommerce
Our collaboration began with recruiting 5 UX Writers to boost their eCommerce and consulting on the nature of the profiles and their characteristics in the Mexican market. Providing them with that guidance helped us expand the relationship and go from 5 to more than 30 profiles recruited in less than a year.

### Fry Reglet - Branding and Website
We partnered with Fry Reglet, a leading architectural products company, to create a refreshed brand identity and new digital platform that strikes a balance of form and function to effectively showcase their diverse product lines.
Fry's product catalog encompasses thousands of items across a multitude of categories. By way of a thorough digital strategy process, we uncovered the needs of various audiences and devised a plan for each user journey. We then developed an intuitive design system that showcases their offering in an easy-to-digest format, with a lot of depth under the hood.
The result is a digital platform that enables architects and designers to find the products and inspiration they need, as they develop the built environment.

### We created their conversion rate optimization team
We design, recruit, and maintain three talented people nearshore in LATAM to provide the region's CRO capabilities.

### Puma - Campaign Art Direction and Branding
As PUMA prepared to introduce an extremely flexible cross-trainer equipped with BioStability technology, they approached us to help create a campaign for the product. The shoe was made visibly dramatic, to engage both retail stores and consumers. From this, the campaign idea “Pumagility” was born — Stability, Mobility, Agility, and being ready for anything.

The graphic concept sought to showcase the product in motion. We collaborated with artist / photographer Bela Borsodi to build and photograph a set that seamlessly merged three-dimensional typography design with the PUMA footwear.

### Processes to reduce digital talent turnover.
Entel was in the midst of a digitization process with the incorporation of new, more specialized profiles and with the challenge of retaining its digital talent (with an average of 6 months of permanence). Through the early identification of problems and the generation of immediate actions, we have become their partner for recruiting new profiles, increasing their permanence to an average of almost 1.5 years.
Results:

+40 Talents recruited.

10 Design, Development, and Analytics profiles.

Increased permanence of digital talents.

### Workstead – Branding, Web Design, Print
Workstead is a Brooklyn based design studio founded in 2009 by Stefanie Brechbuehler and Robert Highsmith. Workstead focuses on architectural and interior design, lighting, furniture, and exhibitions. Our relationship with them began in 2011 when they approached us to help them develop the Workstead visual identity and key touchpoints for the brand.
Part of our assignment was to design a portfolio website that uniquely showcased their body of work with added e-commerce functionality, while visually communicating their design philosophy and sensibilities. The result was a new identity and site that, like their work, was strong and rich yet simple and efficient.

### Optimization their funnel and convertion on site

### Terra Nullius - Brand Identity, Naming, Product Design, Web Design

### Eskew Dumez Ripple - Branding & Website
New Orleans-based architecture firm Eskew Dumez Ripple engaged us to redefine their brand identity and translate that into an online experience. We then changed the wordmark from a serif to a geometric sans for better legibility on small devices and employed the lovely Sanomat typeface for the headline moments throughout the website and printed collateral.

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the firm has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience on more intelligent and sustainable architecture practices. Through the use of a truly modular design system, their new digital experience enables communication of this expertise through in-depth case studies that showcase a wide range of content. The unification of the letterforms is a nod to the firm's evolution–bridging the past, present, and future. The new website demonstrates the full suite of design assets, including a hardworking typography system and color palette that is confident yet reverent to the content it showcases.
