We outsourced the build of the Safe Surfer apps.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed workable app solutions for Android and iOS.

I'm a tech with a software development background, so I could convey exactly what I wanted while their team did all the difficult work. The project involved native software development for Android and iOS VPN applications. They worked on about five screens in total using Swift and Java.

What was the team composition?

They’ve provided an excellent team of developers, testers, business analysts, and project managers.

What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?

Both apps were of outstanding quality, despite being technologically difficult. Now, we have over 200,000 users across both platforms. Until we started charging for it, the Android app had around 4/5 stars on Google Play. Meanwhile, I've run the iOS app on my phone for the last two years and never had an issue. Plus, we’ve never had to upgrade the app since the original development.

How effective was the project management?

It was excellent. Everything was planned and executed well. They were always on time and under budget.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were always proactive about communications and provided added value. For example, they checked reviews on the app stores and suggested solutions.

I'm the project manager for a sports company that helps measure active training time. We provide a solution to measure athlete timing data.

We needed a partner to create our mobile apps, web service, and smartwatch apps.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to simplify the fabrication process by using mobile apps instead of industrial products. The solution needed to store personal data on the cloud. Finally, we needed a team to help us improve the apps and firmware.

How did you select this vendor?

We discussed the project with various Indian companies. We sent test projects, then selected Moon Technolabs because of their good organization and communication.

The mobile apps were made for both Android and iOS, and have a matching web service. Some devices communicate through Bluetooth, which then sends data to the cloud.

They are a very good team.

We needed a team who could further develop an existing source code to create two new apps at a low cost.

We wanted to develop two English language apps for English as a second language (ESL) students.

I had previously used them to develop a different range of apps in 2010 and they were excellent.

I had bought the source code and asked Moon Technolabs to ascertain the viability of converting it into iOS apps. They undertook a lot of research during the early stages, which instilled confidence in them and made code development quicker.

What was the team composition?

Jayanti [CEO, Moon Technolabs] was my first contact since he was the person I had worked with in 2010. The company has expanded since 2010 and there are a number of developers available for a variety of different platforms.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The final applications work and are exactly as I designed them. The team often went farther than was expected or needed; they are a very committed team.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We used Basecamp for progress reports. All emails were dealt with in an extremely efficient manner.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are extremely efficient and worked their hardest to deliver the apps at the agreed-upon price.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I will certainly use Moon Technolabs again.
