What challenge were you trying to address with Modus?

We brought Modus on board to help develop our platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Modus designed a clickable prototype of our platform. When I brought them on board, I had a rough idea for the platform, and their team helped to nail down the details. They worked from the beginning, which included choosing color schemes. Their team gave options for a wide range of features like fonts and then designed the original product. They ended up creating about 50 wireframes.

What is the team composition?

I worked with their CEO and a designer.

How did you come to work with Modus?

I found them through a referral from a larger design agency. As I wasn’t ready to spend a lot of money, I wanted to collaborate with a smaller organization to put a design onto paper. Modus was a more affordable option than others I found.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent about $10,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on this project in January 2020. Their team finished the design in three weeks.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Modus was a tremendous help because when I engaged a development shop, it was easier for them to onboard because we had the initial design. This project was a great start because it gave me a direction for the platform.

When they made the design, their team considered the bigger vision for the application. Modus paid a lot of attention to detail.

How did Modus perform from a project management standpoint?

We typically communicated via email. Their team was quick at responding to my comments and made changes right away. They also created more wireframes than initially expected.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their quick response time distinguishes Modus from their competitors. Their team made changes the same day I requested them, which was especially important because I was starting a company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If they offered development services at the end of the design process, I would’ve used them again.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Modus can take your ideas and sketches and turn them into a design that looks more like a real application, giving you more confidence in moving forward.
