I’m the former managing partner of a company that helps businesses transition to digital models by leveraging data, process improvement, and user-centered design. We offer services such as data analytics, UX, operations improvement, and digital product development.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with MentorSol?

We needed help building the MVP of our two-sided talent marketplace. Our CTO had worked with them before, and our previous vendor was struggling to perform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

MentorSol has rebuilt our two-sided talent marketplace, like Upwork, from the ground up via Django. They’ve integrated our platform with AI tools like ChatGPT, Stripe, Google Maps, and other tools. They’ve provided custom development solutions and are very familiar with the Django framework, which has helped streamline the build of our MVP so we can leverage out-of-the-box functionality for our admin panel. They’ve also provided custom solutions when needed.

Additionally, MentorSol’s team has done some UX work and light project management for us. Post-launch, they’ve also helped us quickly resolve bugs that got through our testing process. They still provide maintenance support for us to this day.

A greater emphasis on testing quality would be helpful. There have been cycles when we’ve worked together when they’ve pushed out an update that breaks things that previously worked.
