I’m one of the owners and the marketing manager for Sea Coast Air Conditioning. I’m in charge of our marketing efforts but I wear many hats. I’ve partnered with my father and three brothers, and we’ve been in business since 1982.

What challenge were you trying to address with Media Giant Design?

We wanted to get into the online marketing and advertising space while bringing our SEO into the modern world. Our goal is to get ahead of the curve and dominate our area.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Media Giant initially sat down with us and spent hours going over our goals, needs, and future. Based on this conversation, they came up with a campaign tailor-fit for our company.

At present, we still work together. They help in things that we know nothing about; computers and online campaigns are beyond our scope. Media Giant has tailored a setup for us with a long-term approach to our needs. They also execute the strategies we have.

What is the team composition?

I personally work with Rick (Owner & Founder) and his wife. Throughout the years, I’ve spoken and met with many of their employees.

How did you come to work with Media Giant Design?

We found Media Giant after we felt unhappy with our previous service provider. Moreover, we were a customer service-oriented company, so we tried to search for firms that had similar business models. One of our outdoor salesmen ran into Rick and started speaking to him. One thing led to another until he came and interviewed us.

Ultimately, we decided to partner with Rick because of his personality and knowledge. The fact that he was local helped; his business was just a few minutes down the road from our office. I could easily pick up the phone and get a hold of him. If I needed to, I could drive to his office.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested a substantial amount.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Media Giant has increased my online presence tenfold, and they’ve been a massive asset to our business as far as growth and customer retention are concerned.

How did Media Giant Design perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform extremely well. The Media Giant team is open to my ideas and constructive feedback. They do what I want them to do, but they’re not afraid to tell me when it’s not in my best interest. They’ll then give me a logical explanation. If I still wish to do something, they have no issues with it.

Moreover, Rick is results-driven; he works by the numbers, so I get exactly what I see. For comparison, other companies have no idea what they’re paying someone to do; they have no idea what they’re getting out of the work. Meanwhile, Media Giant sits down with us on a weekly basis and gives us a step-by-step result presentation. I have hours-long conversations with them every week as we go over how we’re performing. Rick doesn’t miss any of these conversations; he’s always on point.

To communicate, we typically use emails because they’re quick and easy. However, I prefer doing business over the phone. That way, I can communicate in an instant if there’s an idea that pops out — phone calls are straightforward. Meanwhile, if need something transcribed after a long phone call conversation, we take a lot of notes and send them through emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Media Giant is impressive because of a number of things. First, they answer the phone. Nowadays, we get voice recordings when we call, and people don’t get back to us for several days. By contrast, Rick picks up the phone and answers our calls, so we get the ball rolling instantaneously.

Secondly, they have a family-owned business like ours. As a result, they care a lot about what they do and their reputation — this mirrors my own business model. This is important because it means they’re not here just to take my money and go. They aim to make long-term relationships and genuinely care about the success of our business. In other words, we’re not just a number for them.

On top of that, Media Giant is composed of great people who listen to our needs and design customized solutions for our business. The team always helps us with issues. Finally, they tell us when we shouldn’t waste our money on something even though they might be able to take some percentage from it. Rather than putting my money straight into their pockets, they help us avoid wasting our time. Rick will pump the brakes if he thinks it’s in our best interest.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. I have nothing negative to say about Media Giant.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Rick is a thorough person, so sit down and plan with him. Spend an hour or so with him and listen to what he has to say and tell him what you’re trying to do. Then, you can go from there.

Other companies will brag about what they can do for you from a monetary standpoint, and they’ll never talk about how they’re going to do it; they never tell you how they’ll communicate throughout the process. By contrast, Rick and Media Giant are open to communication, and that’s key to the engagement.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Media Giant Design has developed our website. Initially, we gave them a Word document with our main information and content. Media Giant Design corrected a bit of it, and we revised it.

Our users are shipper and carrier companies looking for consulting help or advice about their supply chain, transportation network, logistics, warehousing, or anything regarding transportation. The website is more informational, but there’s a contact form for anyone interested.

Additionally, Media Giant Design is working on social media campaigns on LinkedIn, Twitter, and so on, but they’re still in that process. We’ve told them our target audiences, and they’ve advised us on the best avenues to reach them.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with three teammates, including web designers and developers. However, we’re mainly in contact with Rick (Owner & Founder).

How did you come to work with Media Giant Design?

I worked with Rick in the past, helping out another company. We were both working with a joint customer, and I came across him. Later on, I started my own company and reached out to him. We discussed how Media Giant Design could help me with what I wanted to do.

How much have you invested with them?

Project management has been excellent; we have no complaints. We’ve probably been the slowdown; Media Giant Design is very responsive and communicates really well. I am the Director of Marketing at the Sunrise Theatre in Fort Pierce, FL. We are a historic, 1200-seat theatre which was built in 1923. A complete renovation and reopening took place in 2006.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Location, location, location. MGD is one block away from the theatre. Problems? We have excellent service!

Several meetings were held to get to know us and see the theatre. Lists of items that were essential were presented along with dated tasks for completion. A test site was established so we could "kick the tires" and begin to get a feel for the new site.

The president/owner and one staff person.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The design and time spent with staff to create the website look and feel was very thorough. We tend to have an older audience that really doesn't want to deal with too much technology, so keeping items easy to read, understand and simple functionality is very important. Also, on my end, it is easily to update!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We all worked very well together to achieve the "birth" of the website. Even now, with any changes that need to take place from a web standpoint, they are right on task to get it changed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are extremely knowledgeable about social media, Google ad placement and other media forms that we at the theatre wanted to better utilize in our seasonal marketing campaigns. Rick, the owner, has guided and assisted us with creative ads and targeting audiences to help us sell tickets.

However, we’re now working on redirecting the site to the site that is managed by our corporate office. Though I really like what they’ve done to the site, we’re going to discontinue working with Media Giant Design next year.

I own the Carlton Center and lease office space downstairs. It’s about a 7,000 square foot building. We’re a co-op working office, so we have conference rooms that tenants can utilize, virtual mailboxes, and virtual conference rooms that virtual tenants can also use at a cost.

Additionally, we’re a free art gallery, and we have a beautiful upstairs venue with a patio and a kitchen that we rent out.

We’ve been in business for three and a half years, and we were trying to figure out how to lease our offices and get renters in here. We hired Media Giant Design to build our website, do our SEO, logo, branding, and so on.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Media Giant Design does all of our social media work for us. They do our hosting and continue to perform our ongoing website management. Also, they designed our brand and logo. We didn’t have a clear idea when it came to that. They sat down with us and came up with something that we fell in love with.

Media Giant has helped us to get people to come in through our website. With people walking in to see our tenants or having an event upstairs, we’ve been able to get more business.

We use Facebook a lot; we get a lot of feedback through it. We’re diving more into Twitter and starting to use Instagram as well. Since we’re new to this, they’ve also helped us figure out what keywords would be better to use.

We work on everything together. They give us suggestions, and we tell them what we would like. Since they’ve been in business for so long, they’re very easy to work with. Overall, they’re smart and kind people.

I worked with three people — the owner who did the programming, a graphic artist, and another web developer.

I googled them. I did my research and saw all the different clients that they had and their reviews. Everyone said they were easy to work with, so we went from there. We gave them a call, and they were everything that everyone else said they were.

Slowly but surely, we started getting tenants in, and then we started getting our virtual tenants in. They’ve been a great asset to us.

Also, most people find our website and say that it’s easy to navigate. When they give me a call, they know exactly what they’re looking for and what we offer. It’s very straight to the point and easy to use, which is great because I’m not a tech person, so I love that. Even our tenants have been able to get more business because of them.

How did Media Giant Design perform from a project management standpoint?

It has been pretty great. As I said, it’s easy to work with them. They listen to my needs, and I usually don’t have concerns because they follow through with everything they say. We love how they interact with us and how easy it’s to communicate with them. They usually call back within 10 minutes to one hour if we can’t get a hold of them right away. Their service is more than I expected.

Sometimes we have phone calls, but most of the time, they just come right to me for a sit-down meeting. That way, they can show me things, and I’m able to get what I need. I’m more of a face-to-face person, so being able to sit down with them and have them take their time to help me learn and visualize what’s best for my business has been great. I like the fact that they come to me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication is great for the type of business I run. I really need that. Moreover, they’re easy to work with, especially when it comes to web design. When they’re talking to me, they don’t just use their tech words; they explain me on my level and really help me understand.

In summary, I love their communication and how easy it’s to work with them. They make me feel at ease whenever we go over our project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, I don’t have any negative feedback. They’ve been great to work with.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’m huge on referrals. I recently had someone looking for SEO help, and I referred them. I’ve given referrals to other companies, and everyone else has had the same feedback when they come back; they’ve thanked me for sending them over to Media Giant Design.

Media Giant Design is meeting the client’s objectives, successfully helping them collect emails from customers for marketing purposes. The team has met the deadlines and stayed on budget, and they’re very collaborative and communicative. Moreover, they provide outstanding personal service.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

I’m the owner and manager at Red Wings Shoes.

What challenge were you trying to address with Media Giant Design?

We need someone to build our website and help us with digital marketing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Media Giant Design has developed our website. It’s a basic, 5-page informational website; we don’t sell our products on it. Instead, we use it to capture customer emails and send out coupons to them.

Initially, we provided Media Giant Design with some documentation and pictures to start with, and they also created some graphics on their own. Now, they’re in charge of hosting the site and helping us with SEO. Additionally, they’re in charge of our Google, Facebook, and Instagram advertising.

What is the team composition?

Media Giant Design’s owner is my main point of contact, and we also work with a project manager/designer.

How did you come to work with Media Giant Design?

I found them online around 3–4 years ago. During our initial engagement, we worked with them for a year. However, the company decided to use our in-house staff. Still, I didn’t find our staff to be as efficient as Media Giant Design, so I recently went back to them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $2,800.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2023, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Before working with Media Giant Design, we didn’t get any emails from customers. Thus far, I’ve received 10 emails, so their team is meeting my expectations.

How did Media Giant Design perform from a project management standpoint?

Media Giant Design meets our deadlines and stays on budget. We meet in person if needed — they’re right around the corner from me. Still, we also communicate via phone and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Media Giant Design’s personal service is impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything for them to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Start working with them a month or two before you actually want to go live. I didn’t do that, and I know now that I should have started sooner.
