We’re an IT managed services provider. I’m the founder and the president of the company. We provide IT support and cybersecurity for small and medium-sized businesses.

They’re helping us with our website and digital marketing lead generation.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mitch (President) and his team did an overhaul of our HubSpot website — MDMS worked on some of the SEO and updated its look. We also coordinated with them on keyword research for SEO. They analyzed where our traffic was coming from and what other players in the industry are doing using a lot of different. We’ll be doing more work like this in the future.

They’ve doing ongoing social media marketing as well, which involves writing regular posts, generating graphics for LinkedIn, our Facebook business page, and our Google page. They provide us with a platform where they generate graphics and lay out a calendar of social media posts to support our continual presence. MDMS puts everything out in advance, so we always have a week’s worth or two-week’s worth of posts on the calendar. We get to approve everything before it goes live and request edits if we want. If they have five posts for the week for a platform, we’ll usually approve four of them and change one. We’re very collaborative. Nothing goes out that we haven’t approved in advance. They’re also tapped into some of our resources from other vendors.

I mostly work with Mitch, though I also interact with a webmaster resource a bit.

I have a monthly plan with them, and the total we’ve spent is around $4,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since August 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When they post on our social media accounts, our ratio of approval to revisions is 95:5. Mitch really brings the right materials to the table the first time. The graphics are very affordable and professional-looking. We’re getting a lot of good feedback on them.

In terms of other metrics, we’re reviewing website traffic changes, our search rankings, and our local Google rankings. Our ultimate goal is leads generated. We’re not a giant company, but our process is evolving right now, and we’ve started getting leads through the website.

They really know how SEO works and all the related tools. Mitch is very generous with his knowledge, providing tips that aren’t even related to the work he’s doing with us.

How did MDMS Managed Digital Media Services Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They keep things moving along. Mitch keeps a detailed spreadsheet, so when we were updating the website, he managed everything and directed the schedule and information flow.

We typically communicate over email and occasional video calls. They also use Story Xpress. If Mitch is explaining something, he’ll record a quick video of his screen, walking us through the necessary steps. This means we don’t have to follow written instructions or follow a link somewhere. He provides the information we need very efficiently.

Mitch is great to work with and very responsive. If we need to tweak something, he makes those changes quickly. Things get done quickly with them through targeted feedback.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mitch is cheerful, knowledgeable, and friendly all the time. He’s always ready to help.

MDMS is very tech-savvy and skilled with all the latest tools. They’re very generous with their knowledge and are helpful all the time. They’re a total pleasure to work with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think they’ve done a great job overall, and I can’t think of anything to improve. Possibly, they could continue to bring us new suggestions for ways to expand our partnership. They’ve delivered everything we’ve asked for with excellence.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

One of the aspects of our relationship that I love is that we’re working directly with Mitch. Partnering with a smaller organization, you get the direct attention of the principal. MDMS brings personalized attention and has a comprehensive view of what they’re looking at.

We needed help automating some of our processes. We also wanted to revamp our website which was stagnant for years.

MDMS helped us automate email, social media marketing, and CRM campaigns. They also redesigned our website with SEO.

For the website, they refreshed what was already in place. They took a look at it and came back with some ideas on how to update it with new colors. Now, it has more engagement and messages.

I’ve known Mitch from MDMS for quite some time. We’ve been helping each other out in different areas of each other’s careers.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They delivered our new website in a one-week turnaround. It was a lot quicker, better, and more professional than if we had done it ourselves.

In terms of digital managed services, they help us put all of our social media messaging in one area, which saves us 1–2 hours per week, per coach. Overall, we’re happy with their services.

How did MDMS perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very good with communication. The team offers a very fast response time and they meet the deadlines 80–90 percent of the time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is highly flexible. They’re also creative in finding the right tools for our business; it allows us to have a stepping stone for us to go to the next level later on if we so choose.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be more open to the creativity of their client and less steadfast in their offering. The team should come with the intent to learn rather than the intent to solve.

My advice is to be ready to focus on the outcome;  let MDMS drive that goal to delivery.

MDMS did a lot for our business, including a web redesign, content creation, and SEO services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team redesigned the entire website, adding a chatbot and organizing our blog content. They made the content on the site more streamlined for various devices. Most of their work is SEO-related, but we do use them for some PPC help.

I’ve worked with the CEO and a web designer. There is also a content creator, but I don’t work directly with them.

MDMS has had a positive impact on our business. When we started working with them, we didn’t have an efficient website and weren’t receiving leads. That changed quickly.

We have a handful of inbound leads coming in weekly. We’re ramping our site that is much easier to use and attractive. Everything their team has done has been wonderful. They’ve helped drive business, and it’s been incredibly successful.
