BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Founder/Owner at Hawaiian Paddle Sports. We are Maui's top rated ocean activity company for Surf and Stand Up Paddleboard lessons, Outrigger Canoe and Kayak Tours.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Maui Marketing?

We hired Maui Marketing to redesign our website which was 9 years old and clunky. We had a dark background and wanted to change to light background in addition to fixing a lot of bugs.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to create a better user experience on Mobile and desktop as well as keep our rankings and increase conversions.

How did you select Maui Marketing?

I had been watching some other companies that used Maui Marketing and I was impressed with their work.

Describe the project in detail.

We had already been working together on SEO projects by the time we did this redesign. The had their design team show me a couple themes and we tweaked it to make it what we wanted.

Once they had the over all theme we began dialing in individual pages. They would send me new pages to look over and make sure they were still hitting the mark.

What was the team composition?

We had a project manager who oversaw the process and we provided feedback directly to their team members over basecamp.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The new site launched and we not only maintained our rankings but they improved. We also saw higher rates of conversions from our visitors.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Working with their team via basecamp was great. it keeps everything in one place and you can tag as many team members as you want when communicating.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I really enjoyed the responsiveness to my concerns during the design phase. I also appreciated their team explaining why they chose the design aspects they did for SEO or user experience, that helped me get onboard with their over all vision and work.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I was impressed with the overall process and management.
