BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm a managing partner at Lancheng as IT MSP company in Shanghai China. We provide IT services and solutions for SME companies in Asia and Europe.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire LotusCrew Technologies, and what were your goals?

We needed professional software development support to create a custom source plugin for are Gatsby based website (static website generator solution). The plugin should be able to connect with a .NET based custom based headless CMS.

SOLUTION

How did you select LotusCrew Technologies and what were the deciding factors?

We found them through referral and IT vendor selection. Based on their knowledge and experience we selected them. Key was also the professional communication during initial introduction meeting.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Scope of work was adjusting existing Gatsby example source plugin code in such a way that it can connect with headless CMS .NET APIs. Pull the JSON data from two API using Axios. Combine data and create GraphQL nodes.

How many people from the LotusCrew Technologies team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There was 1 senior IT engineer involved.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Measurable outcome was that the Gatsby source plugin solution was developed within 3 working days and could be deployed without any outstanding issues. Delivered code was according to coding standards.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The projectmanagement was great. Very direct communication and people involved knew what they where doing. We used zoom for communication and internally we used Github.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We had direct access to the IT engineer. They've understood what we wanted to, not only from a technical but also business perspective.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No major areas of improvements needed. Maybe in the future for bigger projects I would initially push more to the usage of Github instead of requesting to transfer files but for the scope of work during this project I fully understand.
