We were able to discover Lightweight Solutions by searching for web developers online. We figured out that Lightweight Solutions is one of the top software development companies in the Philippines. We booked for a consultation with them to see how they will be able to assist us.

They presented us their company profile and portfolio and figured out that their resources’ skills are aligned with what we are looking for. After several meetings for alignment, they created a proposal for us to understand how the project is going to be executed and upon careful consideration on the timeline, costs, and the whole scope, we decided to proceed with the project with them.

When Lightweight Solutions finalized their proposal and we agreed with the terms and conditions and signed it, we proceeded with the kick-off meeting. In this meeting, their project manager discussed their Project Flow, what Project Management Framework they use, how the Change Request Process goes and its factors, their Development Process and Ways of Working, who would consist of their Project Team.

Aside from these, they confirmed the Scope of Work and presented to us their Project Timeline. After this kick-off meeting, we have a separate meeting for another alignment on the specific features we would like to be in the Web we requested to be developed. From there, the team worked internally on the mockups and wireframes for our website.

They presented what they had come up with and after a few iterations, they were able to fully design and develop our eCommerce website. This reflects all the products and services of our company and included the features and buttons we requested.

After we launched our ecommerce site, we were able to see a 30% increase in the number of consumers in the first month. Come the 6th month of us utilizing this website, we were able to see a 70% increase in our sales. The customers find it more convenient to have a website they can log into instead of manually reaching out to our employees.

Our employees now are more focused on inventories and packing in the confirmed orders unlike before when we needed to have 2-3 people working on the order confirmation.

The communication and coordination during the project were consistent and smooth-flowing. We were always updated real-time on the progress of the project and the team were always taking note of our requests, comments, and suggestions. We had daily stand-ups facilitated by their project manager to communicate the items/information to the rest of the team.

When we encountered a delay on the deliverable, they were able to let us know before it really happened so both sides were prepared. We were able to mitigate that risk anyways. We mainly used email and zoom meetings for communications.

I find it impressive that Lightweight Solutions was very much accommodating to our request and during the consultation, they offered us different options on how we can execute our request. They tried to understand our main goals first and went as far as providing us with multiple options on what other content we can put to make our eCommerce website more appealing and useful to our customers.

They were some minor bugs that we encountered on the first days we launched the website. However, the team went on standby to quickly assist on these bugs. It didn’t take them more than a day to fix these minor bugs upon reporting to them.

Medix Platform is a big help to our Dental Practitioner to Manage their clinic efficiently. It has a lot of features that will help them run their clinic from a scheduler that can send automated sms reminders to the patients, Digital Patient records, Dental History and Medical History, Dental Charting, treatment plan, or even the treatment and billing records.

You can easily check the patient's balance tru Dashboard and Monthly Revenue Tru Accounting Page. It also has built-in generic medicine that can be used on Digital Prescription that can be customized. You can also upload the X Ray, videos or other pictures that are related to the patients.

What were your goals for this project?

As a non-technical business head manager, I came to Lightweight Solutions with all my work to date, but no clarity about what I really needed. I had no idea about the technical requirements for making that happen, and was of little help when it came to providing the right technical elements to the team. We want to make their life easier and more convenient through technologies by providing a platform that will lessen their manual process and to simplify their record management.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of their work to date, and particularly endeared by their friendliness towards a non-technical person, enthusiasm to help, and commitment. I have received a number of quotes from alternative vendors earlier in the start-up journey. All of them had offered overly complicated and overly expensive solutions that went way above what a start-up at my stage was in need of.

We have worked with Lightweight Solutions on two projects: our Medix version 1 which allows the dentists to have their own database and record for their patients and Medix version 2 which allows the admin user to have their own database and lists of all the dentists who are using the Medix system.

We are currently working with Lightweight Solutions to enhance and develop our gateway payment in the Medix website in order to allow these registered dentist and unregistered dentist/users to sign-up and pay through online (Paymaya and Gcash) Our Medix website is a visualization platform built in the same vein of supporting small and medium-sized dentists. We contacted over different companies and met in person with three of them. Lightweight Solutions was our choice to handle developing these platforms.

I work directly with a product owner, but we also have regular contact with the full team of developers working on our project during daily 15-minute stand-up meetings. They were really good at communication and reporting was up to mark. We communicated through emails mostly and used Hangouts/Slack whenever needed to have some instant answers from them.

I’m very satisfied with the results. I get pretty excited every time they send me a deliverable and show me how the website is progressing. When they finish a section, they send it to me, and I can test for errors by running it on my phone or online. I have tested the speed, and I’m satisfied.

We use Slack for daily communication and Google Hangouts for occasional video conferences. The project manager is professional and regimented. She diligently records the number of hours each task takes and puts together their statement of work, which always updates us on the latest iteration. He clearly states the goals we're trying to achieve for each specific iteration.

When we ask for additional designs or features, their team addresses the ways to add it without increasing the scope and budget. We've had no issues and they've stayed within our budget. We use Jira to keep track of our projects and they send us daily reports.

The most impressive part was the attentiveness and quality they provided in the initial stage of conceptualization. They made me aware of some great business strategies and latest technologies. What impressed me the most was their demo version of the system having all the features of the project with static data and complete UI /UX experience. They have good ideas, and they understand me quickly, so there’s no need to explain things multiple times. They are good at understanding our requirements and plan.

They get back to us straight away if we have an issue. Other companies we’ve worked with would send an email promising to get back to us within 24 hours. With Lightweight Solutions, we email them, and the problem is solved.They always provide us better solutions and ideas not only about software development but also about Marketing. The attention and effort they put into their work were noticeably better than any other firm we considered. They bring a lot of ideas to the table and propose new ways of doing things, adding even more value to the projects.

I can't think of anything to improve on. I believe they learn from what they have done and are always trying to make it better.

For what projects/services did your company hire Lightweight Solutions?

Lightweight Solutions has been a great help to us when we first launch our website, to when we we are updating it with special events and contents. Lightweight Solutions was very helpful in identifying what needs to be done. They walked me through and recommended simple process that I haven't thought about.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to reach to our audience by easily posting contents for the community and to update it regularly. We wanted it to look very clean and easy to navigate.

How did you select this vendor?

We selected the vendor because they are doing things very simple and that is aligned in what we want to achieve. They are easy to communicate with, suggested better options and are very pleasant to work with.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They developed, configured and launched the website. I provided the contents and feature list and they have executed it very well. I wanted to have a CMS and they were able to deliver. They also suggested for us to use SEO to improve ranking of our website.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project has improved our reach to our audience. It was very important us to have the website up and running because it was relative for us to have a "house" for all our contents. Our audience and community has increased to estimated 82%.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

I was assigned with a project manager that is constantly steering the project, reminding everyone of deadlines, milestones/ sprints as they called it. We used Google Hangouts for con calls and I think they used Jira for their internal tool.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are an expert at what they do. I went to them with just an objective, and they are very good in executing. They have recommended things that made the project much better than what was originally in my mind. They are also easy to work with, flexible and very humble which find different compared to other vendors that I have talked with.

Are there any areas for improvement?

If there's anything that needs to be improved, it must be more on communication with a non tech person like me. Would be better if vendors would consider the level of tech knowledge of the client and use basic communication level nd explanation for non techs as we have to adjust to it first. But as the project progressed and I quickly learned new tech terms and processes, our project moved smoothly.
