BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CEO of a event/location-based networking platform based in Los Angeles. We are a startup with 2 Co-founders. We are bootstrapping our launch. I run operations and partnerships while helping oversee product.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire IPHS Technologies?

We have been designing this platform for about 1.5-2 years. Since we are bootstrapping this startup, we wanted to outsource and build a solid MVP mobile app.

What were your goals for this project?

After paper prototyping and testing the concept. We needed to build an actual product for the field. This team is building a mobile app on native IOS. The platform required 4 main navigation pieces that included tagging, calendars, geo-fencing, and messaging. They also developed a backend dashboard as well.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We vetted some local developers for pricing. A trusted developer friend suggested Upwork. He took lead and helped vet potential developers on Upwork and found this team.

Describe the project in detail.

Once we found this team, we developed the platform in an agile fashion. We had the UX dialed in and we were in the process of updating our UI. We would hand off completed designs and they would develop that phase. We would design new UI on new phases and QA the current phase in development.

What was the team composition?

We are in contact with the project manager, with front end and backend developers.
