The animation was shown at a global conference and sparked dialogue on the topic. Feeback from attendees was that it matched corporate branding and complimented the booth. We will be using the animation on a host of platforms in upcoming months to showcase our concept.

We had a very short timeline and asked a lot in the timeframe. Project management was clear, transparent and reacted quickly to requests - explaining the implication on each request from our side so a diligent choice could be made.

We were impressed with their quick turnaround time and flexibility to update animations. Our concept had many technical elements for which they were not familiar with, this was not obvious from the final product.

Ideal Insight helped develop the story board to disseminate clinical research findings into an educational film. We then filmed in a number of locations with a 2 man film crew. They then did the provisional edit of 10 hours of footage. They then edited the final version and added B shots with music and animations.

Overall, it was a high quality 26 minutes film that has already been viewed >1,300 times on YouTube. George and the team were very helpful throughout. I will be working with them in the future and would recommend them to others.

Marketing manager of Cascade Capital, a company focused on communication strategies for publicly listed companies.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ideal Insight, and what were your goals?

A corporate video outlining three natural gas concessions owned by NG Energy, a company devoted to the energy transition in Colombia. The information can be technical so it was important to have a visual of the property and the opportunity to give the investor community a better understanding of the value of the company assets.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were looking for firms in the UK that had a track record of producing engaging videos. We spoke to two additional companies, ultimately landing on Ideal Insight because of their great people.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

Firstly we had a Kickstarter meeting with Ideal Insight, where the teams exchanged the goal of the video, overall feel, and outcome desired. Secondly, we as the client worked on a draft script, that script then was run through several iterations (3-4). At every step of the way Ideal Insight team took time to work through very meticulous details, and changes to the script, and always showed patience and an ability to go back and improve the product.

The third step was to add the voice-over and make final edits to the video which was very smooth, again the Ideal Insight team was patient and worked with us. Finally, a fantastic video was created.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with George, Ed, Daniel, and Jeff- feedback process was we would review the edit, and make comments on Vimeo, and occasionally over zoom and the team would go to work on the next iteration.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We showed the video to company insiders, investors, colleagues, everyone absolutely loved the video - one person on a forum commented "wow that has to be one of the best promo video I have seen" after watching the video.

Timelines were good, Ideal Insight always tried to get things done on schedule, and the times they didn't was because certain changes were made that would require more work on their end. Mainly we worked using email communication, Vimeo for direct timestamp comments on the video, and Teams video calls for review sessions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to engage with highly specific material and turn it into an engaging video content piece. Their patience and willingness to work iteratively with us were impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would recommend if the material is very specific that the team does a deep dive on the topic and make sure they really understand the file prior to starting to work on it (learning as you go).

We wrote the script, they executed it. Several or rather many revisions. They hit all of our ambitious deadlines.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

George and Finn were our main contacts. It was around the holidays, which added its own challenges. Our client was learning the process as well. My only recommendation would be something like dailies or builds of sections as they are done. We had little room for error and there were some small edits that could have been caught with a little more regular communication. Not big deals but advice for improvements.
