iCareBilling has provided us with guidance on how to set up our practice. Their team has helped us set up our billing system and provided recommendations for electronic medical record (EMR) systems. As part of the EMR process, they’ve implemented Kareo into our practice and customized it for us. They’ve created web-based apps for us from scratch.

I found them on Google — they were very accessible and helpful when I first called them.

At this point, we’ve invested around $600. iCareBilling’s monthly price is around $450.

Our ongoing partnership began in March 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our practice hasn’t launched yet, so we’re taking a short break. However, I’ve been very impressed with how quickly iCareBilling was able to set up my medical practice. I’ve been more than satisfied with iCareBilling’s services.

Their team has been very accessible through phone calls. iCareBilling has excellent project management — they’ve made sure not to miss a single deadline.

I hired iCareBilling for medical billing, credentialing, and enrollment services with payers such as Medicare, BCBS, UHC, Aetna, Cigna, and other commercial payers. Medical Billing needs to be done on Kareo software.

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

We considered iCareBilling because they were very responsive with a fast turn-around time and very professional customer service. Pricing options and payment terms are very flexible, considering that they do not require upfront payment for their credentialing and enrollment services. They will collect payment once we are credentialed with Insurance companies.

iCareBilling was hired for credentialing and billing services based on per payer enrollment and a specific billing percentage on collection. iCareBilling is responsible for submitting enrollment applications to insurance companies, follow-up with them, until we sign the network agreements, and then enter the claims through the Kareo billing software to receive payment for services rendered by the Laboratory.

I was being assisted by one of the dedicated representative assistants. Different team members were also working on various tasks such as enrollment applications, payment entry, and follow-ups. They were knowledgable and their customer service was very fast.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

We have been offered network agreements from Medicare, BCBS, and others; claims were submitted and billing was successful.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our workflow was very effective, especially during the credentialing phase. During the billing phase, it was very simple, once we submitted patient demographic information for billing, they were processed right-away.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I found the customer service most impressive. Their response time is by far the best I've encountered while working with billers. Any questions we had, the answered right away.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I wouldn't suggest any change in their process, however I would like to see them established a network of healthcare groups to be a part of their services and offer their services to a broader clientele. Most billing services lack the versatility, however iCareBilling is well-rounded and should share this level of service with more healthcare businesses like our Laboratory.

I just started a new medical weight loss and primary care clinic. Hiring the right people for different aspects of the business was very important to me. It is essential to read customer reviews before hiring. Even so, one could still make a mistake in hiring the right people for certain jobs/services. When I first spoke with iCareBilling, I knew that they were the right company to hire for my insurance credentialing and billing services. The owner/manager is very knowledgeable and skilled at what he does. That translates to an effective/efficient and reliable team, as it is apparent that he checks on his team's performance regularly. They are very proactive in getting everything setup and approved by the insurance companies. They respond quickly to questions and concerns. They answer within seconds to minutes, even on off hours. Their motivation is contagious. Starting and managing your own practice can be very challenging, and there are definitely ups and downs.
