Inspironics is an engineering consultancy company that specializes in solution engineering for industrial applications, embedded devices, cloud, analytics and communications. We work with project teams to design, collaborate and support clients towards building robust products. I am the product architect and oversee overall system engineering for the current project.

For what projects/services did your company hire Hueint Pvt Ltd?

We hired Hueint to design User Experience for the Server Software and also develop mobile applications for the various modules of the solution fro Android as well as IoS.

What were your goals for this project?

Goal was to develop seamless User experience, combined with engineering flow. At no point the user should experience sluggishness or a lack of a connect. The UX should be seamless across various mobile phone sizes and should align well with a Tab too.

How did you select Hueint Pvt Ltd?

We came to know of Hueint through our searches for enterprising startups and a word or mouth recommendation from a common source. We then met Hueint team personally at our office and explained our needs. They were asked to submit a proposal and an approach presentation along with effort estimates. We found Hueint to be competitive from a pool of three vendors and we selected them.

Describe the project in detail.

Once we signed up with Hueint, they were asked to submit potential flows as a presentation, with color patterns, representative Icons and representative text. a demo was arranged with stakeholders after 3 weeks and then approved the design approach.

Thereafter Hueint was asked to provide multiple demos as they progressed through the project. Final integration with Application was carried out at our partner site after which the product was ready for Testing.

What was the team composition?

We were interfacing with a Project Manager and a lead engineer from Hueint. We had weekly meetings and regular site visits scheduled. We also met the team who was working on this during the final demo. The team size varied between 2-4 engineers depending upon the scheduled sprints.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project did go on smooth. We had very little problems during integration and the UX was appreciated by the various stakeholders. Navigation and the connect established with the user was seamless, as expected.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team from Hueint was very professional and easy to deal with. They integrated into our team very smoothly. There were a few hitches in getting teams to travel to partner sites where other modules were being developed, mainly due to travel feasibility and availability of both parties, but once those were sorted out, the integration and testing went through very well.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The company has an energetic group of people, eager to go out and express themselves and they have done it with good engineering efficiency. The know-how and knowledge on UX and related technologies are good and they were able to get through the assigned modules with ease.

The Defect count too was very minimal during the integration phase and quite a few of them were found to be gaps in integration aspects rather than implementation aspects.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I believe that the team is very adept at UX and related technologies. While they were able to get into lower layers, in-depth knowledge on some of the intricacies of Bluetooth interfaces was missing. They did say up front that they do not have deep expertise in HW interface layers, however very few or very little UX is purely digital in the industrial environment.

They’re very responsive; we usually get answers within 12 hours if not before. They’re also flexible and solution oriented.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Hueint Pvt Ltd focuses on producing results. They don’t indulge in blame games or in giving excuses. We’ve also never heard a no from them.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They definitely need more staff!
