I’m the director of support operations at Collins Machine Works. We’re a full-service manufacturer providing machining and fabrication solutions for the defense industry.

We needed help with our GCC-High O365 migration.

What was the scope of their involvement?

HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies migrated our existing commercial O365 licenses to a GCC-High tenant. They also trained users, onboarded endpoints and cell phones, and migrated all data.

They were a long-term business partner and an established supplier.

We worked together from October 2025–January 2026.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies completed the project on time and mostly on budget, all within acceptable parameters. Downtime was kept to a reasonable minimum, and all users were on-boarded within 72 hours. Additionally all locations were on-boarded concurrently within that time-frame. After the migration, we had compliance audits and regulatory checks that confirmed the project met required standards. 

How did HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We primarily communicated through video conferencing and chat. HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies delivered on time. However, they could have done better with their digital progress tracking tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies actually did what they said they were going to do in the time they were going to do it. Which doesn't seem that impressive, but if you're a seasoned procurement professional you know how much this means. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They need better progress tracking tools and better reports to customers (e.g., charts).
