For what projects/services did your company hire Hands In Technology, and what were your goals?

We wanted to develop a mobile app for our users to access our content from their phones. We'd noticed a decrease in our site's viewers, so we wanted to increase our traffic and visibility through a mobile app. Our goal was to have a user-friendly platform that was easy to update from an admin perspective.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for app developers in our area and shortlisted 5. After interviewing them, we chose this vendor based on their past projects, design skills, and cost estimate.

We had a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals and objectives. We provided their team with wireframes and designs. Within two weeks, they delivered the first round of the iOS app. They incorporated our feedback and delivered the revised version. Before launching, we ran it through beta testing.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project manager was assigned to be our main point of contact throughout the project. Additionally, I mostly interacted with two lead front- and backend developers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within 3 months after our app was launched, we saw over 1,000 downloads and achieved a 5-star rating in app stores. We've seen a tremendous boost in traffic since launching the app, and people have commented on how easy it is to use. We've gained new readers and visitors because of the platform.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The project manager was easy to communicate with and provided frequent updates. We had both in-person meetings and phone calls, but most of the feedback was through email. Everything was delivered on time and we received ample warning if a deadline wasn't going to be met.

We’re a music branding agency. We work with brands to develop music marketing campaigns.

What is your role and responsibilities?

I oversee day-to-day operations and account management for our clients. I look after all of our clients here.

It was really just app development. We provided the design ideas.

Apple [iOS], Android, and Blackberry.

Do you still feel this is the best choice for development?

Yes. I wouldn’t change anything looking back. 

What was your process for selecting Hands In Technology to work with? 

We did research on various websites; we were looking to outsource. I looked in the U.S. a little bit, and costs were very high. I knew that I needed a strong outsourced firm. We used Elance. After we found them, we spoke directly with them on the phone.

I can’t speak to that. It’s confidential information.

Is this ongoing work or just one project?

For now, it’s a one-time project. That could change in the future.

Yes, we are satisfied. They did quality work.

Do you have any statistics or metrics that you could share about the project?

No.  It hasn’t been launched at the moment, so it is too early to discuss results. We are currently in the final stages of this project.

When working with them, is there anything unique or special about Hands In Technology that stood out as different from other firms?

I would say they provide very quick changes and feedback to us.

Looking back on the project, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or something you might do differently?

No. Nothing different. Not from their side.

The engagement was an amazing journey and the founder instilled confidence from the start. They were, by far, one of the most professional and courteous companies we’ve come across. Hands In Technology’s expert staff created great value. Not only did we get the deliverables we wanted, but also a genuine friendship with the team.
