Geeky Ants was brought in to build our Lumica application for both iOS and Android. We provided the framework, assets and business logic for the project and they provided the programming workforce. The work included building the full front end using React Native under our specification and an AWS backend using our selected technologies.

We had regular Pull Request for audits of the produced code and we kept regular scheduled meeting to keep the team aligned. Using this method we were able to produce a fully featured application that corresponds to the proposed project. As the project evolved challenges arose but were dealt with in a swift and diligent fashion.

We knew coming to the projects that there would be some challenges and that some setbacks were expected as it is in the nature of project development. We were always directly solicited when problems arose but solutions and options were proposed to keep the project on track and ongoing. Despite some bumps along the way development met the expected timelines and efforts were made where they were needed to keep the agenda in check.

GeekyAnts shines because their human relationships meet their offering of top talent. We were amazed how accessible the company is on all levels. From the very first interaction with the company to working with programmers everyone is onboard and easily reachable. Communications are always answered diligently which makes working with a remote company a breeze. The whole team associated with our project was always there to help and went beyond to assure everything would go as smooth as possible.

The only thing I can see to improve is the different project management platforms that every programmer tends to use is always different from one another which can become cumbersome sometimes.

Having created our web app using a third party we were dissatisfied with the finer details of its operation which GeekyAnts very quickly solved for us, along with deployment, it seemed to be a breeze for the "Ants". Our web application was up and running in the blink of an eye with all the stability and security we could ever wish for, they knew exactly what we needed within our budget and they supplied it without fuss. That web project ran for three years without further intervention thanks to the GeekyAnts.

We needed GeekyAnts services to fix bugs and enhance our web application by implementing some complicated features such as Role Based Access Control, Audit Reports, Progress Trails, and DB schema cleanup. We also needed them to fix number of UI bugs to make the web application more presentable and closer to the finalized designs.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• from the list of UI bugs, engineers fixed all of them in the set timeframe 
• from the list of additional features, engineers implemented all of them accurately and even enhanced some existing features by revamping the db schema and code refactoring 
• optimized the saving functionality, which was taking a lot of time before. Reduced the save tie from 15 seconds to ~5 seconds.

Yes, everything was delivered on time. The most helpful aspect of the team that helped us keep track of things was the daily sync-ups. We discussed what engineers worked on the day before and what they are going to pick up next. Any doubts or questions were resolved early, which helped the team deliver within the decided timeframe. One engineer in the team had to leave the project in between because of a family emergency. GeekyAnts provided a more qualified resource immediately to take up the remaining work to meet the deadlines.

There is always room to improve in all teams; I would specifically like to see improvements in the following areas: 

• Transparency in pricing 
• More communication during the execution of the project during the last phases of the delivery

When one engineer had to leave the project in between because of unforeseen circumstances, GeekyAnts promptly assigned another qualified engineer who ramped up on the project quickly.

The pages were built to the specifications provided by the designs. During the build we would be in constant contact to adjust the designs as necessary and provide guidance on API integration. The pages were all built using Nuxt.

We are very happy with final result of the launched pages.

We had daily standups, where our team (design, dev, PM) would bring questions/feedback, and the build team would bring their questions. From there we would triage the issues, solving some in the standup, and others later in the day. A single line of communication was established, where all work to be done was to be put in Jira, and the build team would drag that into the sprint post any required clarification. Additional communication was done via Slack.

I was very impressed with the proactivity of the dev team when presented with problems. We would often encounter design issues, and the team would present a number of solutions in our daily stand ups. With the challenge of different time zones, this has been very effective.

After the UAT phase, the scalable production application was deployed to our AWS cloud space.
