BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CEO of Pickles. The idea of our application is that you can plan your whole day, month, week in just one application. You can invite one of your friends for coffee, you send him an invitation, he confirms it, and a general event and a chat for this event are created in your calendars. That is, it is not necessary, for example, to use 2 different Whatsapp + Google Calendar applications. It will also be possible to view popular events in your city or in others, too, and add it to your calendar.

For what projects/services did your company hire Gapsy Studio?

We understood that our platform lacked visual components and an understanding of how to place all the functionality in the app. It was user-friendly, so we turned to Gapsy for design, after looking at several of their work, we realized that their designers were exactly right for us and could turn our ideas into reality, and we started working.

How did you select this vendor?

We found them on Behance. We were impressed with the quality of the studio's work and the functionality of the design, which was a decisive factor for us when choosing a studio

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Based on the work stages, Gapsy and I discussed in detail our project, the main competitors, the sites we liked and the goals we wanted to achieve with the help of the application. After the discussion stage, they proceeded to the UX research stage, where they analyzed competitors, created a detailed description of User Persona, Jobs to be done, User Flow.

Next, the designers proceeded to the UX design stage. This stage was discussed with us, we conducted brainstorms to understand how it would be more convenient for our potential client to use the platform. Further, after the approval of the UX design, we moved on to the UI stage, where the designers made a clickable prototype for our application.

After agreeing with us all the stages of design, the studio also made us the design of a banner for the App Store and a landing page that told what the idea of ​​the application was and what value it brings.

The team consisted of a project manager and one designer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We haven't gone live yet but we did present the designs and mock-ups at user group meetings. The users were definitely impressed with the direction and the new look and fee

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Project management was great. They always kept in touch with us and tried to understand what we wanted. They were always available

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their understanding of interfaces was great, and their work with color palettes and user preferences was impressive. The app had a lot of complicated features, but they somehow made it work in an accessible way. It took a lot of time, but they were professional. Both the UI and UX are very high-quality. We were struck by the fact that Gapsy looked at more familiar actions for people in the application and, based on this, made the user-oriented design in the first place.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, I don’t think so. They gave us a lot of ideas and tried to be helpful.

Found Gapsy via word of mouth personal connection and they came highly recommended. The deciding factor was attentiveness, speed of turnaround, and communication.

We have worked on an array of projects with Gapsy Studio. The project would begin either with a specification being sent to Gapsy Studio or by talking via DM for smaller amendments.

Unfortunately, do not wish to share our websites for business reasons, but they can probably be gleaned from LinkedIn profile.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their workflow was extremely effective and communication was always great.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Communication Speed of Work Professionalism

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing. They work in a way that I find easy to manage and fit in well with our own development standards for example delivering design files in Sketch.
