Future Profilez has helped me build my social media platform from scratch, including the backend administration panel, an email navigation system, and other features needed for my business. They’ve also worked with third-party service providers to implement various APIs for some features, such as an age verification functionality.

This platform is hosted in AWS, so we use a lot of services and have various features to get content out for our creators. These features included livestreaming, video chats, a menu for creators to sell items, a section where they can upload multiple videos and photos, a review system, a short video section, and a discovery section.

In addition to the development work, Future Profilez has recently done some additional design work we’re currently finishing. Their design services have included web app design and UX design.

We’ve worked with five people from Future Profilez, including Vishal (CEO), a senior UX designer, and a senior web designer.

I came across them when looking at different reviews for web app designers on Fiverr — Future Profilez appeared on the first page of search results. Originally, I was looking for a UK-based developer, but the price difference between Future Profilez and various UK developers was quite significant. Additionally, their reviews seemed good, so I set up an initial call with them.

During this call, Future Profilez gave me their proposal, and we agreed on a rate. Additionally, they showed me some initial design suggestions and possible add-ons for the platform. Everything seemed to be a good fit for our needs, so I hired them.

How much have you invested with them?

The initial fee was $10,000, which encompassed all their services up to the initial build. Then, we started paying Future Profilez $1,500 per month, and I recently spent another $1,500 on design work. In total, we’ve spent around $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2022, and our engagement is ongoing.

The main success metric is that Future Profilez helped me build this platform — without them, I wouldn’t be in the position I am now. Their team has brought my vision to life.

How did Future Profilez India Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

Future Profilez has delivered their work on time and within budget. If anything, project management has been challenging for them because of me. I constantly send them new features, designs, changes, and things I want to be tested. I’m quite a demanding client, but they’ve still performed well, all things considered.

I’m in contact with Vishal quite regularly because he often asks me if I’m happy with the team and their work. We also discuss payments. He has been very understanding in that regard because if our cash flow isn’t what we expect for a certain month, he allows me to extend the payment another week. They’ve worked with me really well.

Of course, we’ve had challenges along the way, and Future Profilez has had to learn a lot. For example, they had to research all about my competitors, which wasn’t something they knew how to do initially. Overall, I’ve thrown a lot at them, but they’ve been working with me to look deeply into the industry, assess the best offering our competitors have to offer, and create my own platform.

As for our collaboration tools, we initially started working over Fiverr, where they answered my inquiries the same day — they were very responsive. Since then, we’ve mainly communicated via email and WhatsApp. We use WhatsApp for quick communication and email for longer-format communication and file sharing.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Future Profilez’s most impressive asset is their cost and the value of their work. Whenever I need to speed things up, they increase the number of teammates working on the project without any extra cost. They’re very willing to work with us as a long-term partner, and they always look for our future growth. Moreover, they’re very understanding and accommodating. As soon as my business picks up, I plan to fly to India, meet the team, and expand it with as many developers as I can get from them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if Future Profilez improved their understanding of their limitations regarding web development and design and was upfront and accurate regarding timelines. For example, I’ve requested some features, and they end up delivering something different. Thus, I’ve had to explain things in more detail and show them other examples and screen recordings so that they can see how things should work. Still, English isn’t their first language, which can cause barriers, and I keep adding features, so it’s not entirely their fault.

Get a full mock-up and design of the entire platform prior to starting the development process, and develop a full list of features from the start. Having a full plan in place and agreeing on a clear timeline will ensure you get the project done faster.

This type of project is a unique one in Japan and it was very important that their team was able to take the lead and initiative in all the stages of building this website. Their proactiveness helped us a lot and made this project go smoothly all the way from start to end. The website is done and ready and we are finalizing the process of the legal frame for our company so it can be used with confidence by the Japanese public. In general, we came to them with a vision and deadlines and they were able to meet our expectations and go beyond that in all aspects which is a clear demonstration of success.

The manager was very responsive and always available to have a video call whenever we requested it. Their team was also responsive at the same level to our email correspondence and so the communication was smooth and without any issues in that respect.
