Their team was friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to helping me succeed. It’s clear they genuinely care about supporting small businesses and startups, which makes their approach both unique and incredibly valuable.

Are there any areas for improvement or something The Free Website Guys could have done differently?

One area for improvement would be communication accessibility. There were times when I didn’t receive a response for a day, and it would have been helpful to be able to contact another team member during those periods. Having a backup point of contact or quicker follow-up could make the process even smoother.

That said, I understand they handle many projects at once, and overall, they were responsive and delivered a great final result.

Having researched a number of paid and free website design options, I opted to use the Free Website Guys, with some caution, as I am aware of a number of apparently 'free' designers, who ultimately charge expensive hosting or essential design services, that are not apparent when signing up.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

My experience was very positive, with the hosting being one of the cheapest and most reliable on the market and whilst there were a number of 'Trade up' opportunities to premium packages during design (which my website didn't require) the offer was true to its promise and was indeed Free.

The training is useful and essential. Please pay close attention and ask all of your design questions to deliver the end product you need.  You will need to be reasonably competent in amending aspects of the website through the in-built design software, but it is all feasible without paid-for services.

The developers are accessible (always via your account contact) after handover for troubleshooting and are good at resolving outstanding issues.  Overall, an excellent service, delivered by professionals.
