Honestly, no. They have thought of everything I can think of to make this wonderful business model they have work so well. From their tutorial videos to communication, I thought everything was handled amazingly.

I wanted them to make a website for my business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Free Website Guys has created a website for my business. They’ve added an updraft that saves your work in case you lose it or something goes wrong with your website. They’ve also given me a plugin with a conditional cookie warning and customized cookie policy called Complianz, which also generates terms and conditions. In addition, they’ve added Elementor, a website builder, and FiboSearch, a search plugin for the website. The website also has Jetpack, Really Simple Security, Smush, Yoast, and many more plugins. All of these are in their website template.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with 3–10 teammates from The Free Website Guys.

How did you come to work with The Free Website Guys?

I found out about The Free Website Guys when I was looking for website creators on Google.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent about $10 for the Bluehost website hosting. It’s $3 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in December 2024. They’ve finished everything I’ve asked them to do. However, if I have any questions or need to do some changes to my website, they do it for me.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There haven’t been any measurable outcomes yet because the website isn’t ready on my side. I still have to add the products and make some customizations to the website, like changing the photos and the texts. If I want to finish it, it’ll be ready in no time.

How did The Free Website Guys perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through email. The Free Website Guys always does things on time. Sometimes they forget to answer or are busy, but they always say sorry and tell me they’re just busy with other projects. That’s understandable since it’s a free program, and there are probably many other people they have to answer and edit websites for.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I don’t know if it’s normal, but it’s pretty impressive that they’ve done all of this for free. Anything I need and want, they do it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. Considering that everything is free, I can’t mind the little problems or the times it takes them a little longer to answer.

I got my business website set up by 'The Free Website Guys', and it honestly was a smooth process. My part was mainly covering the hosting with Bluehost and picking out a theme. They handled all the tricky bits, turning my vision into  a working websitesite.

Here's What They Did For Me:
 -  Got my websiite Online with Bluehost: First off, they sorted out all the technical bits with my Bluehost account and made sure my domain name (my website address) was properly connected.
- They installed WordPress for me, which is the system the website runs on. Crucially. They also added Elementor, which is an addon and is basically a drag-and-drop tool that makes it super easy for me to update my site later without needing any complicated coding.
- I picked a premium theme (it doesn't have to be premium), and they didn't just leave it as standard. They really went to town on it, tweaking and editing it to perfectly match my preferences and my business's look. It feels truly unique to me.
- I asked for smooth fade-in effects for the text and images, which looked brilliant. It gave the site a really modern and polished feel when you scroll.

- My business logo was placed onto the site, sitting perfectly to make sure my brand is clear from the start of the website loading.
- They linked my site to Google Analytics, which is brilliant. This allows me to see how many people are visiting, where they're coming from, and what they're looking at, which is really helpful for understanding my customers.
- They ensured the website is "responsive," meaning it automatically adjusts and looks perfect on all devices.
- They did some essential search engine Optimisation, which helps Google understand what my site is about, and helps in getting found online.
- Once they had done all of their part, they provided a hand-over  which included really clear video tutorials and instructions that were easy to follow.
- All that was left for me to do was upload my text and images.

Overall, 'The Free Website Guys' handled all the complex technical and design work. My main involvement was choosing a domain name, providing the logo, choosing a theme, and giving them instructions on what I wanted edited, added, removed, etc. It's been a great experience getting my business online with their help, and I highly recommend them.

The website is all up and running, But I am still uploading content. As it's a brand new site, the initial measurable outcomes are really about making sure it's technically sound and ready for action. Now that it's live and Google Analytics is hooked up, we'll start seeing the bigger picture unfold over time.

'The Free Website Guys' seemed to have a really efficient and clear project management style, especially considering their service model. It felt very much like they had their process on point..

It felt like the process from start to finish was fairly quick. Because they're setting up a website for you in exchange for you sorting the hosting and theme, it suggests they have a pretty defined timeframe for their service. I didn't have any noticeable delays from their end. Once I provided them with my logo and confirmed the theme, they got straight to work. The fact that the site was launched and fully functional after their work indicates they hit their internal targets. They clearly have a system that allows them to create these websites efficiently.

Their response to my needs was really effective, especially given the streamlined nature of their service....

- Right from the start, it was clear what I needed to provide (my logo, theme choice, and initial content). This helped manage expectations and probably prevented a lot of back-and-forth.

- When I provided my chosen theme and, importantly, when I asked for that one specific round of changes to the theme's appearance, they responded promptly and implemented those adjustments. It wasn't an endless design process, but for the scope, they certainly listened and acted on my feedback.

- They understood the core need was a professional business website, and they delivered exactly that, including the specific visual effects I wanted. They didn't overcomplicate it but made sure the essential elements were there and working.

- This is where they really shone in responding to my future needs. Providing those clear video tutorials and written instructions meant they empowered me to manage the site myself. It showed they anticipated my need to be self-sufficient and provided the tools for it, which is a fantastic response to a client's long-term practical needs.

Basically, their project management felt very focused and efficient. They had a clear pathway for getting the website built, and when I needed to provide input or request a specific tweak within their service model, they responded quickly and effectively to get the job done and deliver a professional looking website. The process was exactly what is needed – fast, professional, and functional.

What I found really impressive and quite unique about The Free Website Guys was their brilliant blend of affordability with genuine empowerment and functionality.

For a business website, especially in the UK, things like GDPR compliance, privacy policies, and cookie consent banners are absolutely essential. It would have been incredibly helpful if they provided a simple checklist of things I needed to add or consider from a legal standpoint, or pointed me to resources for setting these up. It's a tiny detail, but really important for any business operating online.

These are really just small refinements on what was already a very impressive service. They delivered exactly what they promised.
