I was referred to them and once I applied and spoke with someone on their team I was approved for the free website. We worked together through emails. They would email me step by step through the process.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The biggest outcome is that I now have a working website for my blog. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and how enjoyable it was to work with Sven.

All communication was through email and very the timeline moved along quickly. I even received updates along the way and in between steps.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was blown away by the amount of detail and time that was put into my website through a "free service". The only thing you have to do is use their affiliate links, but it's services you would pay for if you built your own webpage anyways. I highly recommend working with them and if I need their services in the future I would definitely work with them again.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing! They are top notch!

Ease of getting the job done with my other responsibilities and ability to apply for free support were factors.

The Free Website Guys at thefreewebsiteguys.com have been phenomenal in helping me with my new position. I inherited a decade old website that looked terrible and was difficult to manage. I needed something up-to-date, mobile responsive, with a few important features for the trade association for privacy, and the ability to manage it myself going forward. I was and am familiar with WordPress.

Using these “guys” and their recommendations for BlueHost and DIVI and some plugins, the website is up and running with much less effort. I live in the land of Nike (Just do it!) and I just posted on LinkedIn today using a quote from Yoda, “Do or Do Not. There is no try.” Don’t just give them a try, Do It. I left out “just” because then it would be a improper use of Nike’s trademark.

They have a process and it seems to work well for them. In this area, no, they really shouldn't change anything in the way they do their business.

The team consisted of myself, and I worked with Sven. Their team on their end completed the project and to my understanding, Sven was the primary communicator.

The website has been created and the last thing to be done is to upload all of my content!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was very effective (I feel) to only communicate with one person from their side that way I could express my thoughts and feelings for the project once and not get interpretive feedback from multiple people. Everything was consolidated the way it needed to be done, and they worked around my current work schedule.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their work ethic! They worked diligently and I was able to keep tabs on what had been uploaded and when. It was very fast!

Are there any areas for improvement?

One thing that I would improve on would be to set up a video chat or some kind of call at the beginning to get a feel for the project a little more authentically. However, they were willing to work around my work schedule so I cannot speak for everyone. Otherwise, fantastic work!

I am super happy with the final product. Everything has been customized to suit me, and now all I have left to do is put in my own copy and content.

It was such a quick process! I was shocked at how efficient they are...if anything it was me who slowed the process down by not getting back to them quick enough. If I had been faster at responding, they would have had the project done in less than 2 weeks - amazing!

A unique aspect of this company is that through their selection process they can offer to build your website for free. From there, it was so easy to work with them at all times, and the end result was me having a streamlined business website. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for further web development work.

I saw an ad for their services on the grim art community Facebook page. After I contacted their Manager, he described to me the features of their work and offered to leave a request for creating a website. I followed his instructions and now I am the proud owner of a functional website.

I needed a multi-page website, with a convenient editing system, easy to learn even for a person far from web design.

The site had to harmoniously reflect the main concepts of our project, have a suitable visual style, be able to place the artwork of our authors and have enough space for a full description of the features of the services we provide, as well as a well-established feedback form with our clients.

What was the team composition?

For the entire duration of the project, I had contact with three representatives of TheFreeWebsiteGuys.

1. the Manager from whom I learned the primary information about the company (unfortunately, I do not remember the name)
2. Sven. I interacted with him on a regular basis. He supervised the entire project, constantly kept in touch with me, answered questions, gave detailed descriptions of the work done, and helped me find alternative solutions to issues.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In total, the creation of the web-site and its publication took about one calendar month (including time for my doubts, a selection of suitable topics, discussion of features, etc.).

In addition to feedback, throughout the time spent on web development, TheFreeWebsiteGuys sent me detailed information about the stages that they were working on at a particular time (installing and configuring plugins, configuring Analytics, etc. – every single step in detail). That's very cool.

When a professional does not hesitate to openly discuss with the client each stage of their work and make edits if necessary – this is how you need to do your job.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I would rate it 10 out of 10 possible points.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Our project is associated with dark art, a topic that is not very popular and difficult to implement, which is why, even after talking with the Manager, I doubted whether we would succeed in what we planned. Immediately after the approval of my application I was contacted by Sven. Oh, I'll tell you what this guy is – he's a cool dude.

When I had doubts or questions in the process of web development – I could always contact Sven at any time of the day or night and he very quickly, and most importantly, clearly helped me to get explanations.

This is a real professional who does not try to impose something on you, he does his job for you and does it efficiently. These guys were always ready to come to your aid and they did their job efficiently and quickly.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is no limit to perfection and there are certainly areas for growth of TheFreeWebsiteGuys, but at the moment I am completely satisfied with the cooperation with this company and I do not consider it necessary to add anything superfluous to it.

I followed this advice and they set up the site with rather minimal input from me or demands on my time, which was great. After some weeks the website was ready for me, although they are readily helping me finalise things even though their part of the work is largely complete.
