I am the CTO for a plant logistics company and their consumer facing brand

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire flik digital?

Our logistics systems, internal tools, customer portal and e-commerce store was over 15 years and needed a large over-haul and re-design. We hired flik digital for the following services:

• Branding
• UX
• Software Development
• Web Design
• Internal Training

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I reviewed 5 proposal from Agencies recommended by my CTO network. The proposal by flik was by far the most comprehensive and their communication was second to none.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

After a number of discovery and requirement gathering meeting, flik assembled their project team and we assigned a project lead from our team. flik then built out a project roadmap that included epics, user stories and so on. The team then completed the UX research work and presented their findings.

The design team then created initial wireframes and lo-fi designs based on the research results and our overall project requirements. After our team approved this flik began development work using 2 week sprints.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

In total we had a total of 5 people working on our project. A project manager, UX researcher, designer and two full stack developers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were really happy with the outcomes of the project, we have seen a 300% in B2C sales and have been able to implement numerous operational efficiencies using the logistics software. The documentation provided was very detailed and perfect for my handover team

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Really efficient communication using a combination of bi-weekly meetings, Jira, Sprint reviews and Slack. The assigned Project Manager was very good at their job.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was suprised by the quality of work across a number of different areas, development, research, design and Q&A. It not often we can use one Agency for all of our work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We were really impressed with the outcome. I’m sure we could have asked for a quicker delivery but the cost involved would have taken us outside of our assigned budget for the transformation
