Fabled Solutions has built a highly robust menu-selling sales tool for us. The team has also built several other web applications to fit into our suite of dealership-facing sales tools. Fabled Solutions has navigated a complex system of province-specific regulatory and tax rules. The team has accommodated our extensive list of products and forms and the different combinations that they are offered in depending on vehicle type (auto, RV, powersports) or dealership location. The product has gained complexity steadily over time as our business has evolved.

Currently, the tool allows each client to have a library of custom-built bundles that can be presented to clients in-house or remotely. The tool also allows clients to further customize those bundles to suit individual buyer preferences, with all changes updated in real-time for buyers throughout the sales process. Clients can customize the way bundles and products are presented or how they are accepted and declined by buyers. The completed deal data flows seamlessly back into our system for certificate generation.

Software can do five things for a business. Save time. Save money. Make money. Improve the brand. Reduce risk. That’s the whole list. Every feature anyone has ever asked for is a bet on one of those five, or it’s decoration. So in discovery, together, we decide which ones this project is for. Usually it’s one or two, not all five. A dispatch system is saving time, and reducing risk if people are currently guessing. A member portal is improving the brand first, saving time second, and maybe making money third. A claims tool that replaces a spreadsheet is reducing risk, and making people more efficient. Then, together, we put a number on it. Hours a week your coordinator gets back. Licensing dollars a month in duplicate data entry saved. Reduction of regulatory audits. Whatever the driver is, there’s a before, and discovery is where we write it down in order to decide if the cost is worth it. Success is the after. Not “the software launched.” Not “the client is happy,” though we like that too. The number moved, in the direction we said it would, for the reason we picked. If a feature doesn’t move one of the five, we’ll show you. It’s cheaper to hear that before it’s built.

The "boring" ones. Specifically: anything where a business is running on a spreadsheet, a whiteboard, or a piece of software from 2011 that nobody’s allowed to touch. Claims processing. Dispatch and scheduling. Registration and evaluation. Member and customer portals. Insurance, healthcare, logistics, sport. If the current system has a name like “the master sheet” and one person who understands it, we’re interested. We also like multi tenant SaaS builds for organizations that already have a working internal tool and want to sell it to peers.
