I’m the director of GreenHand, a social goods marketplace. A portion of our sales goes back to our community to support various activities.

What challenge were you trying to address with Faba Technology?

We hired Faba Technology to develop our e-commerce platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

To start, we gave Faba Technology our business requirements and roadmap. They reviewed our initial designs for the platform and understood our vision very quickly. From there, they developed our e-commerce site using WordPress and PHP. Currently, they maintain the platform, keep it stable, and ensure it’s up to date.

There were 2–3 people working with us. 

How did you come to work with Faba Technology?

One of the core team members is my friend, so I spoke to him about the project and decided they were the right fit for the project. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $57,000 on the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on the development from January–March 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work was exceptional. I’d recommend them to any potential clients. 

How did Faba Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

All the requirements were delivered on time. We had very few hiccups during the development. Jira was the main way we managed the project and we used Slack to make requests for changes. Our communication was strong. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Faba Technology was very reliable and delivered high-quality work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should expand to a wider range of technologies to get more potential clients.

Be clear about the requirements and features you’re looking for.

I’m the head of product development for a bike sales platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with Faba Technology?

We needed local resources who know about our software to build a good UI platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We already had a web platform, but it wasn’t working properly. Faba Technology maintained the current system and in the meantime, they built a new platform from scratch. It’s able to scale up and has more features than our original one. They provided design and development, then built for iOS and Android.

What is the team composition?

In the first phase, there were four technical people. In the second phase, with the new platform, they were seven people in the dev team, one UI designer, and a technical architect from their side.

How did you come to work with Faba Technology?

I found them through networking. I was told they were a good company and was introduced to them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–June 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our previous platform wasn’t good enough for investors to fund for us, then Faba Technology provided a technical solution that enriched our vision and strategy. It’s easier to run the business and to get new users with the new version. We have the ability to scale up and we can show it to investors.

How did Faba Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

They worked in the waterfall model for the first two months, and then in an agile model for the second phase. We used Trello and Jira as well as another tool for high-level management reports.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re flexible in supporting us and are generally very supportive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They give much information out about themselves, so they need to care about their branding more.

Talking to them in-person will be helpful.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The project aimed to create a Clinic Management System from ground up, withHL7/FHIR compatible data schema implementation. Project timeline was extremely aggressive. The software architecture adopt latest Microservice architecture.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Faba team were able to deliver all tasks assigned, meeting all expectations and at times even exceed expectations, in term of quality and effort. They are not there to just complete the tasks, and provided valuable input to enhance the quality of the result.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Yes, tasks were delivered on time and meeting or exceed expectation. When we needed extra push to delivered certain tasks earlier due to unforeseen circumstances, FABA were very accommodating.

As an IT outsourcing company, their engineers and project managers delivered excellent results, and not just there to complete the tasks.
