I'm the CEO of Danit, who offers professional consulting & development services.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire FMan Soft, and what were your goals?

We asked for an Android-Studio project, with the following features:

• Java
• RTSP player --> playing some demo stream
• Low latency (delay), <= 1sec

The plan was to integrate the delivered module into a drone project.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for app developers and shortlisted 5. After interviewing them, we chose this vendor based on their past projects, design skills and cost estimate.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The key deliverable was an RTSP player, written in Java and wrapped as an Android studio project, which allows a smooth integration from our side. We didn't have strict UI requirements, and asked to just play a demo stream in an efficient way (in terms of real-time performance). The deliverable was a private git repository.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project manager was assigned to be our main point of contact throughout the project. Additionally, we mostly interacted with a lead frontend developer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The deliverable module was easily got integrated into the hosting project, and met the real-time performance targets. We were very satisfied from the final outcome and from the quick and professional delivery.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The project manager was easy to communicate with and provided frequent updates. Most feedback was through emails and Skype. Everything was delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I appreciate their app development skills, quick and professional execution of the project, and attention to detail.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Status reports on each stage of the project could be helpful
