We first worked with Sandeep of EnsueSoft on a small client requested project that the client gave us a very tight timeline.  He was able to knock the porject out in less time than we were given and it help us to win business form the client.  So we decided to keep him on and he was the key developer of a data cleansing application that we designed and he built to allow us to more quickly clean contact files for direct mail use.

The previous system had 37 steps and took 45 minutes per file and jobs had to be done in series.  We were able to create a new system that had 8 steps, took 5 minutes and we could start one file and then immediately move to the next one.  

Over the last 7 years we have kept Sandeep on the contract to enhance the data cleansing application, work on several smaller development projects and most recently to rewrite the data cleansing application adding in many new features and capabilities.  Through all this he has done a great job for us.  We also had an opportunity to work with a few other developers and QA Testers at Ensue Soft and they were all great to work with.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our man project had several areas that required completion:

• File intake and mapping - upload of Excel or CSV files and mapping key fields like name and address information into the system
• Sending specific files off for coding - this was done through a vendor that provided USPS data codding of our contact records for direct mail deliverability
• Creation, selection and running of specific business rules so the end user could decide what should be pulled from the data file.
• Creation of a summary report in Excel wiht tabs showing the various detailed records and the reasons they were removed under tabs for those reasons with a final tab be a clean mail file for use in direct mail.

We managed the project locally and in most cases they hit the required deadlines for various areas of the project.

Testing of the functionality before release to us could be improved.  Several times we would find problems that should have been caught during QA.

The project involved developing several intranet applications for a big bank in the USA.

• Intranet Portal
• File Viewer
• Fraud Managed Application

The main technology stack was asp.net, c#, SQL Server.
The Intranet offered different features to the bank employees. 
We implemented granular access control using claim-based authorization on top of the AD roles.
The bank was buying other smaller banks and they needed to import and organize lots of documents. The File Viewer app had an automated backend that analyzed many files, detected the file format, and populated the needed metadata in the database. On the front end, the users could search for files based on various filters.
Fraud Managed Application allowed inserting details of detected frauds and has filtering and reporting functionality.

We had regular presentations to the bank management and they were constantly happy with the progress.
