At ScalpHero, our logistics operations are streamlined to ensure efficient and timely delivery of our premium products to customers. Here’s a detailed overview of how our logistics processes work:

Inventory Management and Storage

All of our inventory is stored at the warehouse of our 3PL partner, EcommOps. EcommOps plays a crucial role in managing our logistics, from receiving inventory from factories in China to fulfilling customer orders. By storing inventory at EcommOps' facility, we ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Communication and Payments

EcommOps acts as an intermediary, managing communication and payments with the three factories that manufacture our products. This eliminates the need for overseas wire transfers. We make payments directly to EcommOps' US-based bank, and they handle everything locally in China, simplifying our financial transactions and reducing complexities.

Fulfillment and Shipping

For fulfillment, all orders are shipped by express air freight directly from EcommOps' main warehouse in Shenzhen to our customers in the US. This approach avoids the delays and costs associated with sea freight. Once a customer places an order on our website, they receive an order confirmation email. Within 24 hours, they receive their tracking number and instructions on how to track the package. 

Just-in-Time Logistics Model

We prioritize a "just in time" logistics model to avoid holding excessive inventory. By stocking up on raw materials and ordering finished products in smaller batches regularly, we maintain scalability and prevent overstocking. This approach helps us balance supply and demand efficiently.

Communications and reporting work on prebuilt systems and channels that are easy for our team to work with. Operational Efficiency: Achievement of same-day or next-day fulfillment processing, maintaining a 24-48 hour processing speed for orders when inventory is in stock.

Service Reliability and Customer Satisfaction: Consistently low instances of lost or damaged packages, timely reshipping of any lost or damaged items as per the aftersales policy, and successful aftersales support for client and end-user satisfaction.

Inventory and Financial Management: Effective inventory turnover within 30 days to avoid warehousing fees, and minimization of negative balances, supported by regular, timely invoicing and client adherence to payment schedules.

Their project management was highly effective. They consistently delivered items on time, adhering to agreed timelines and ensuring smooth, reliable fulfillment. Additionally, they were very responsive to our needs, addressing any requests or adjustments promptly and with flexibility, which made the entire process seamless and stress-free.

Exceptional communication skills and efficiency. They consistently demonstrate extensive industry knowledge and go above and beyond to provide support, ensuring every need is met swiftly and effectively.

One area for improvement would be enhancing the API integration with Shopify to update in real-time. This would streamline the process, allowing us to revise orders or update addresses directly within Shopify rather than submitting tasks on a separate dashboard. Real-time updates would make order management even more efficient and user-friendly.

Most efficiently run fulfillment service ever worked with Even during big disruptions from COVID they figured out how to get things out as fast and efficiently as possible Maybe something about Dayu providing advice on how to improve on processes as well?

It was very smooth as they took care of all the fulfillment matters. They also customized certain processes and dashboards more suited to our specific business needs to make things even more efficient

EcommOps is different than other fulfillment services because their team really seems to partner with you rather than just a service They work hard to solve any problems and also identify issues that might arise as well Maybe could speak a bit about how Dayu cares about clients and really helps to make them succeed with advice on everything ecommerce?

None that I could think of at this moment. I have very satisfied with their service.

I’m the Co-Founder of a DTC Ecommerce brand selling kitchenware products.

We launched a DTC kitchenware brand and were looking for the ability to directly fulfill and ship to customers without having to plan for inventory and freight to an US fulfillment center. Shipping directly to customers from China was an attractive solution due to its flexibility so we utilized EcommOp’s fulfillment services to fulfill our DTC orders.

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

We considered multiple fulfillment models including local US fulfillment, Amazon FBA etc. At the end after speaking with Dayu we decided that China fulfillment was the right way to get started. He and his team seemed like they knew the in and outs of the process so EcommOps was the natural choice.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

We worked with our factory directly to develop our custom kitchen product prior to working with EcommOps. Once the products were ready we had our factory work directly with EcommOp’s inventory receiving team who received and onboarded the inventory quickly and without much interaction from our end. They also helped to integrate their ERP systems with our shopify backend to automate the order processing flow. Orders would come in every day, EcommOps would fulfill the orders without any hands on work from our end, which made the whole process a breeze.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There was an account management team and we also had direct interactions with the fulfillment team as well.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to launch our product a lot faster than if we had to plan to ship to a local fulfillment center, at lower risk because we did not have to plan for many days of inventory given EcommOp’s warehouse was only days away from our factory. Plus they allowed us to access international markets very efficiently which would not have been possible fulfillment from a local 3PL.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very effective, we had Skype Groups for different areas / divisions / team members and the communication was always smooth and well managed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Customer service and responsiveness. Dayu and his team are an absolute pleasure to work with. They have extensive knowledge of the business, commerce in China and all other intangibles that were unknown to us.

I do not think so. Honestly this is an airtight operation.
