I’m the CEO and co-founder of Vermont Surrogacy Network, a gestational surrogacy matching organization.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with DTC FORCE?

We hired a different vendor to develop a Salesforce-based community portal that would enable users to complete applications and track their status online. The solution needed to have matching functionalities—which would let them get to know one another—and be HIPAA-compliant with non-identifying forms.  However, the vendor's work was unsatisfactory because the 4-month deadline extended to over a year. We then engaged DTC to complete the build.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team jumped into the partially-completed project. They make ongoing edits and changes—the tasks we cannot complete in house. Essentially, we think of DTC FORCE as the clean-up crew that ensures the portal doesn’t crash.

What is the team composition?

The team includes a team lead, a developer, and designers.

How did you come to work with DTC FORCE?

We received a recommendation from a Salesforce representative. It also helped that DTC FORCE was in our time zone.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $6,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in early 2019 and the partnership is ongoing as DTC FORCE continues to make tweaks.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I wish I had met them first because I would have had a fully-completed project within the original timeline. DTC FORCE had the knowledge base to complete an already-started project with highly complex requirements. As a result of the finished product, my business is growing and thriving. The solution frees up our times and does a significant amount of the total paperwork.

How did DTC FORCE perform from a project management standpoint?

They understood our time crunch and met with me in a week. Within two weeks the project was nearly finished and ready for my review. They went full speed ahead and took a lot of work off of my plate. They have been highly responsive, getting back to us within minutes when we experienced minor downtime.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Overall, they are very good people. The team took everything in stride was not overwhelmed by the scope of the work. They took extra time during our initial to make improvements on our portal, even though we hadn’t yet signed the contract.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. I am very impressed with the team and will continue working with them in the future.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clients should practice open, honest, and direct communication with DTC FORCE.
