We engaged DriveIT (India) for SEO services with the expectation of improving the brand visibility of our client in Singapore. The scope of work was clearly outlined and included:

Conducting keyword research and implementing on-page optimization.
Creating and publishing content (blogs/articles) for SEO purposes.
Building backlinks from relevant third-party websites.
Providing monthly and quarterly reports on SEO performance.
Offering strategic recommendations to strengthen long-term search rankings.
The key deliverables promised were high-quality English content, authority backlinks, and measurable improvements in organic visibility and website traffic within the quarterly engagement period.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

There were no measurable positive outcomes from the project. The core KPIs — keyword ranking improvement, organic traffic growth, and quality backlinks — were not achieved.

Instead:

1. Backlinks provided were of extremely poor quality, with some even linked to adult content, directly risking brand reputation.
2. Content writing was low-grade, filled with grammatical errors and unsuitable for professional use.
3. The person heading SEO could not communicate in proper English, making discussions unclear and frustrating.
4. Their internal communication was disorganized and not in sync between team members, causing delays and confusion.
5. Through their quarterly payment model, they try to block the client into commitments without delivering results.
6. Website rankings showed no improvement despite continuous payments.
7. Traffic metrics remained stagnant with zero uplift in organic reach.
   
   Based on the poor backlink quality, low-grade content writing, unprofessional communication, and rigid quarterly payment lock-ins, the project failed to deliver any success and instead created a reputational and financial risk.

The project management was extremely poor. Deliverables were not provided on time, and there's no structured plan or clear accountability within their team.

The person heading SEO could not communicate in proper English, which made discussions unclear and ineffective. Internal communication was disorganized and not in sync between team members, leading to repeated delays and confusion.

Instead of proactively addressing issues, their responses to our needs were vague, and often dismissive. 

Overall, their project management lacked, clarity, and accountability.

Nothing. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something DriveIT Digital could have done differently?

There are several areas where DriveIT Digital needs drastic improvement.

1. They must stop delivering poor-quality backlinks, especially those pointing to adult content, which puts clients at reputational risk.
2. Content quality needs to be raised from low-grade, error-filled writing to professional-level English that is relevant to the client’s industry.
3. The person heading SEO should be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English.
4. Internal communication among their team needs better coordination, as misalignment caused delays and confusion throughout the project.
5. Instead of locking clients into quarterly payments without delivering results, they should adopt a transparent performance-driven model.
   
   Our Singapore client expressed serious dissatisfaction with their services, and based on this experience, we would not consider working with DriveIT again.
