BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the community manager at Chainwiz so I am responsible for looking after the online presence, from the website and Twitter to the Discord.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Devwiz, and what were your goals?

We needed three pieces of work done: 

1. A website
2.  A custom directory
3.  A custom Learning Management System (LMS).

Our major goal was to get everything up and running swiftly and ensure they all had a good UX.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Devwiz was already an affiliate and we know the quality of work from past clients

First stage was scoping, which was done by James. He went through all my ideas and turned them into a full scope of work and user stories. Then we moved on to the UI/UX design. Finally the development and testing.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

6X people. James on ideation and scoping, Jose as the solutions architect, Rhia as PM, Gia on design and Joenard & Max on development

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was launched ahead of time, which actually has enabled us to create a second iteration of the business directory, which will be used for projects, adding in a risk index.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Most comms went through Rhia, who is both technical and to the point. essentially I felt like I didn't have to worry about things.

She kept in touch through a variety of Whatsapp, Meets and Email. She was proactive, giving fortnightly sprint updates without being pressed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It's a good team that can cover everything you need to launch an application like ours.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It's always nice to have more face-to-face with James to talk strategy etc.

All software development. They created the UI, developed web and mobile applications, as well as did testing and QA.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Referred to us by someone in my network

This project had multiple development phases as we tested a finished version, took feedback and then iterated. Each development phase consisted of scoping and the creation of user stories. From there a UI/UX design was created and then once approved it went to development. After dev, we had a UAT period where we needed to test everything before we gave the thumbs up and it went to prod.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I dealt only with James and Jose, the founders, but I believe that they also had a web and mobile developer working on NoQ.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Up until COVID we had delivered a working MVP and generated revenue. We shut down for two years but are now looking to implement web3 tech with James and team.

This was top-notch as James spent a lot of time working with us to take the idea to a scope that we were happy with

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think the best thing about Devwiz was the fact that we got everything we needed from them. Ideation, UI, Dev and testing is all provided. It’s great not to have multiple parties involved

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Deliveries did run behind on a couple of occasions so speed could be improved but they did always communicate issues in good time.
