The Designed Application aims to provide a bridge between the Government Officials and the lay man. The purpose is to design a mobile application, which reaches the common person and makes them aware about the government schemes which are running for the benefits of the Indians. People will also get a benefit to post their grievances if they are facing any issue in receiving the benefit.

These grievances will be forwarded to the email ids of the respective official. Users will get a screen, to enter their basic details like:

• Name ,Address, Phone Number ,Email Id, Identity Proof, Photograph
• Schemes Available on our portal, drop down selection
• Link to reach the detail of the scheme selected  Queries/Grievances/Remarks ( Maximum Words)

My Application is based on a midi device. So, the main part of the application is the integration of the Midi Device. And based on that it composes music, and the music was divided into multiple candies. In the end, it creates a single music file with a combination of multiple candies.

What was the team composition?

I just went to them with a very raw idea and they made an entire picture out of them. They not only made the app but also gave me some very valuable suggestions for my project. They asked me to revise the flow where ever needed and work end to end with me on my requirements.

The outcome was great , just uploaded both apps to review and waiting to get the same approved.

The most impressive thing was they not only followed my idea but worked on this as if this was their own product. Starting from building mock-ups to unit testing they were there on each of the milestone.

There are some improvements needed on QA phase.

Our projects usually begin with a PNG/JPG and PSD file. I introduce this to Derived with a walkthrough video and we collaborate so that they can product the custom UI and implementation, typically into Shopify or Wordpress. We then work through some QA together and send to our clients until they are happy for us to migrate onto their servers.

I have worked with multiple employees from Derived, though my communication typically is with Nimish - A very considerate, insightful and supportive gentleman! I feel I can always rely on him and I know other members from Derived have completed work for me too!

We had created an excel template that made it easier for users to use the CSV file downloaded from their bank to categorize the monthly expenses easily. This historical view of all the categorized expenses made it easier for users to manage their monthly household budget. We used the excel template for several months.

It had a lot of manual and repetitive tasks. However, the benefits were real. So we were ready to convert the excel template into a web application that will reduce or eliminate many of the repetitive manual tasks, making it even more user-friendly and more accessible to anyone on the web.

We looked for web developers that had experience not just doing brochure-type websites. We were looking for a team of developers that could build web applications that could upload a CSV file, remove unnecessary data leaving only the needed data for the user to categorize.

In the end, our goal was for the user to view a custom chart of how exactly they were spending their money. We had a clear vision of how the final application should function.

After explaining our concept to the Derived Web Technologies' team, they quickly started giving us ideas about how they could take our vision and make it even more user-friendly by removing some manual tasks that could be automated to provide an even better user experience.

And it was then that we knew they were the right partner to build this custom web application. They took the time to understand what we were trying to achieve and advised us how they could make it even better. Things that we didn't even know were possible.

From the beginning, we were very focused on how the users went from point A to point B. So we agreed to start working on converting the wireframes into fully functional wireframes. We were focused on making sure the development solutions worked.

We had many things to test. Many mathematical formulas to corroborate. We needed to test different CSV files from different banks. Only after everything was working exactly how we intended we then worked on getting the right look and feel for the application.

Since we're a UX/UI Design studio, we provided the Derived Web Technologies' team with all the front-end designs. They did an amazing job implementing our UI to their back-end development.

After finishing the web application we ran a google ads campaign to bring traffic to the newly launched project. We saw a high conversion rate which meant it was easy for users to understand and take advantage of the newly developed web application to help manage the household monthly expenses

Our communication was mainly thru Skype. We had frequent meetings to discuss completed tasks and next steps. They were always honest about what was realistic to accomplish within the given timeline. We kept track of the code thru a Github account they regularly updated to show the progress done in the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I found the most impressive was the many questions they had to better understand what we were trying to accomplish. There were times that their question made us aware that there were some angles, opportunities, that we didn't think about the project.

That surprised us because the type of questions they were asking meant that they took the time to understand what we were trying to achieve. As opposed to other developers we worked with in the past that just did what you ask them without caring if that was the best solution.

So what was most impressive was that they took the time to think and understand the project. Not just do what they were asked to do to complete the project.

To be honest, at the moment, I can not think of anything that I would change in how they manage our project. Everything was handled very professionally, and the final project exceeded our initial expectations.
