What challenge were you trying to address with Deep Valley Systems Pvt. Ltd.?

We needed help developing a mobile app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Deep Valley Systems Pvt. Ltd. remotely developed an offline Android application from scratch. The app supplements remote areas of India where we weren’t able to be online. One of the main features is the mass production of SD cards with data from our database, which they helped create the hardware and software for. We can now generate SD cards in 15 minutes.

We already had websites, but Deep Valley Systems Pvt. Ltd. helped us with minor bug fixes and change requests. They also helped automate our development processes and continue to manage our AWS servers.

Our CEO had a common friend who suggested them. They were economical for us and their dedication was the selling point.

We have invested $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2020 and it's ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work isn’t perfect, and there is regular rework that has to be done. Their very prompt in Python and Django, but were a little delayed in learning Angular and Node.js, which were new to them. They took some learning time and they’re still learning. They continue to work on bug fixes for me.

How did Deep Valley Systems Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket to manage the project. Our teams also use Slack to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Deep Valley Systems Pvt. Ltd. never says no. They work hard to get it done. If we ask them to make changes, they do it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Whatever the business is, they need to understand it. There are different things that could have been done prior to taking up a task. It would help them get the work done faster. They need to understand the dependencies and fix the modules.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They will require mockups. You should come prepared.
