Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of MAVEN, an advertising and marketing company that provides website development services.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Cybertron Technologies?

At the time, we were creating websites and small applications for clients.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cybertron Technologies helped us create some of these applications and provided maintenance for them. They created custom web applications for a variety of clients and special projects. They also created custom web forms.

For example, one of our clients was a nonprofit company that needed custom development for various campaigns to raise funds and awareness. Another client needed a backend platform for uploading photos to its social media platform. Cybertron Technologies worked on dozens of other projects for us, large and small.

What is the team composition?

I worked with 6–12 developers over the years and 3–4 project managers.

How did you come to work with Cybertron Technologies?

I found them on a freelance portal. Cybertron Technologies was very good at communication and had reasonable pricing.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January 2004–January 2016. We continue to stay in touch with them to this day, and we’ll work with them again in the future.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

For us, success was the ability to complete and bill for clients’ projects on a monthly basis. Cybertron Technologies helped us build a profitable and award-winning website development practice. My clients were often very pleased with the speed at which Cybertron Technologies delivered updates and changes. They had a fast turnaround time.

How did Cybertron Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They always met our timelines and were often able to exceed them. More importantly, they helped us set expectations to understand what timelines should be. The time difference was a challenge because of the time zones. However, they would often stay up late to have meetings with us. We were able to work around this.

We communicated via email, Skype, and Basecamp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cybertron Technologies was very helpful in coming up with solutions to problems and consulting.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would have liked to see them expand their capabilities faster as the market changed. We would have used them for more projects. However, we were very happy with the work they did for us.
