1. The company was found through google search.
2. Sent an initial inquiry detailing the requirements and specifications

5. Visited their office and discussed directly on the project, timelines and quality criterion and mutually agreed on the same.
6. Formally accepted the proposal and kick started the project after transferring an agreed advance.

1. They provided a project plan along with the proposal (Step by step schedule on development, testing and golive )
2. After project start, they provided draft images for Logo , they had designed . There were multiple reviews and iterations happened before finalizing the logo
3. They provided draft design of the website which was reviewed by myself and provided additional suggestions. They accepted the suggestions and proceeded with the testing. They had provided access to the test site for continuous review.
4. They demanded content for various sections in the design which was provided.
5. I had reviewed the test site and there were few iterations before I agreed to finalize the design
6. The website went live on first week of November
7. They provided all the needed images for all social media sites in the following week
8. In the second week of November, they provided the detailed documentation and instructions to update the content.
9. Since then, whenever I need some changes (minor), they do it in 1-2 hours time.

The project has given a great initial feedback about the new company I have launched and really helped to launch the company brand successfully . This is a startup and hence it was very crucial to have professional look and feel, easy navigation, professional looking images etc. 

Crantia was patient and adaptive to my dynamic requirements while in the review process. They have shown great commitment and perseverance to deliver the results. They respected the timelines and I was really happy to launch the services on time.

The Project management was highly effective. They provided a clear plan with responsibilities and expected output and they sticked on to the same. Even though there were challenging demands from my side, they ensured that the timelines were met.

The Project Lead provided seamless access to the test site and regularly followed up with me on the feedback . They have ensured that, they give new releases within a days time after the proposed changes; which was exceptionally great.

I’m the director of an e-commerce website that sells local products from the state of Kerala, India. Our target customers are from outside states.

What challenge were you trying to address with Crantia?

We had been using a third-party provider similar to Shopify but wanted to rebuild the website, which is where Crantia came in.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I gave Crantia a detailed requirements document and presented my existing website to them. After agreeing on a price, they sent mockup screens for us to review and give feedback on. I reviewed the UX with my team and they deployed the website to a test server where we tested it for a 5–6-week period. They resolved the issues we found and finally migrated everything to the live website. I’m not sure what technologies they used, but the website was custom-built.

What is the team composition?

One of their co-founders was in charge of communication for most of the time, but I spoke to the developers in some rare cases. After giving them requirements, we’d communicate about once or twice a week and we were in touch every 1–2 days during testing.

How did you come to work with Crantia?

We sent our requirements to 2–3 vendors and got quotes from them. Crantia listed the high-level features they would provide as well as a quote. I went through the websites they’d done in the past and I could see that they had some experience. Their pricing was also very competitive compared to what other candidates offered.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost has been $8,000–$10,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Crantia in March or April 2019. We had some initial delays on our side, so the work started a bit late. Overall, the project ran for 3–4 months. The website went live two weeks ago and it’s still in the beta phase. The first phase is done and the overall project should be over in about two weeks.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

This was our first time developing a platform with a third party. There were some bugs in the first version that Crantia created, and some requirements weren’t there, but it was good overall. They addressed all those issues after a round of testing. In terms of timeliness, there was a slight delay of around 10% more than what we expected.

How did Crantia perform from a project management standpoint?

I’d give them an eight out of ten in this area. They didn’t give us a very detailed plan on the features that would be delivered, but they did give us an overall picture. In general, project management wasn’t out of this world, but it was good. Communication between our teams was efficient.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Crantia had a good price for the amount of work they did. The overall quality was good, including the functionalities we had in the initial version. Crantia is competent and experienced when it comes to developing websites.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve by working a bit faster and adopting a standard procedure for gathering feedback. There was no formal way of tracking issues during the testing phase. After testing the product, we’d find issues, submit them, and get in touch with Crantia to see if they were resolved. Some companies use ticket systems to track issues and close them once they’re done, but considering Crantia’s price range, it was okay.

What challenge were you trying to address with Crantia?

I was trying to reach more people, so I had Crantia develop a couple of websites for me. This was during the initial stages of setting up my business and they helped me increase my reach.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I provided them with a document outlining what pages I wanted the website to include, and what could be on each page. We went back and forth until we found designs that worked and what would be beneficial. They then developed the WordPress website, which includes a blog element.

They’ve also offered digital marketing services, which I will eventually take them up on. Right now, my focus isn’t quite at that stage.

I had contact with just one person from their team, several times a day, which was preferable to me. He conveyed my requirements forward.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I haven’t launched the website yet, but I’ve gotten positive feedback for it. I really value what Crantia has done for me, and I think it’ll be beneficial in the future. It took us a bit of back and forth to come to something that was up to scratch, but I’ve heard good things about the website’s look and feel, and about its user-friendliness. I plan to make some updates to it before I add the necessary content, and I’m quite happy for Crantia to continue working on that as well.

How did Crantia perform from a project management standpoint?

We could speak on WhatsApp at any time of day, but a phone call would’ve been nice at times. Had they been in the same time zone as me, it might’ve made things slightly easier. However, anytime I wanted a change done, they were happy to make it and did everything I asked for.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The general ease of working with them is impressive. I could ask for their advice and thoughts on many things, and I made a lot of changes based on it. They were also happy to make any small edits I wanted on the site, letting me know when they were done.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m in Australia and they’re in India, so communication was a bit of a challenge at times, specifically from a cultural point of view. Their communication was often straight to the point, which can come off a bit blunt. I didn’t take it as such, but I made it known to them that a friendly phrase would be nice when starting a conversation.

I don’t have any specific advice, but I’d recommend them to someone looking to do the same thing that I was.

What challenge were you trying to address with Crantia Technologies?

We needed to design, build, and deploy our website. We also wanted to enhance its functionalities on an ongoing basis, including digital marketing and SEO.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, we created the design and wireframes for the site, determining how it would look. We iterated on these components until we reached a finalized layout. Crantia Technologies then developed the site and deployed it into production, taking it live. This, including testing, encompassed the first phase of our partnership.

We now engage them for regular support, maintenance, and updates to the site’s functionalities. For example, we’re currently going through an FMS integration and adding new categories to the site. We also plan to do a payment integration soon. Beyond that, we also work with their digital marketing team to help with Google Ads, SEO, and social media marketing.

We’re an educational consultancy company providing coaching to students for civil service exams. I’m a co-founder and the director of the company.

We’re a three-year-old startup. Initially, we had a pretty primitive website, and though we had improved it, it was still not up to the mark. It was slow to load and badly designed.

Crantia designed, developed, and completed our current website in WordPress. The content was taken from the previous version of the site.

It’s a standard site with dynamic elements on certain pages and provides information on our courses.

They assigned a designer and a software engineer. Vijith (Co-Founder, Crantia Technologies) was my main contact. I gave my requirements to him, and they came up with a design. We provided continuous changes and ended up with a final version.

We’ve had previous experience with two other companies, which we used for the first versions of our site, but those didn’t go well. I Googled “website development” and found 2–3 interesting results, including Crantia. We got in touch with all three, met with their reps, and went through some of their past work. The website done by Crantia was highly appreciated by our team and entire student community. Their work made a huge difference, but as it was only completed this month, so it’s still difficult to say what impact it’ll have. We don’t depend on the site as a primary source of enrollments, so its main purpose is to convey information.

I’m very happy with their work. They were in contact with us at every stage, and they completed the project at a very fast pace. Their CEO was my primary contact, and he did a very good job.

We engaged them to develop our website, working through multiple stages. It began with the preparation stage, in which they collected all the necessary information from us and made inquiries into different areas as needed. They gave us some information regarding current trends, which meant they advised us against our platform of choice.

They collected materials from us, organized them, and worked on the website launch. We’ve also developed certain initiatives for promoting the site. That included creating a presence for us within certain indexes and helping with our SEO.

We’re soon going to move into online promotional activities, but those elements are still under discussion.

I’ve shown the website to many colleagues and friends, and everybody’s liked it. I think we still need to make some enhancements on it though.

I appreciated their patience and cooperation with us in finishing the project and launching the website. I made a lot of corrections, in terms of content writing and other things, which they fulfilled well. I’m pleased with them, as is my company.

I would give them a really high score. We communicated continuously through email and even my personal WhatsApp.

Their patience with me, their understanding of our recommendations in the early stages, and their ability to share ideas with us were excellent. That’s why we’re planning to engage them for the next level of service.

Whatever comments or recommendations we gave them, they listened. That, and their ability to deliver the product how we asked was impressive. This was the most important factor for us.

The way they made their first submission was impressive; it covered more than 60% of the scope. Their speed was one of the reasons we selected them—I don’t think it’s common to find companies like that.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I haven’t found any major dislikes with them. There might be some comments here and there, but it’s not a matter of note.

Someone looking to approach them for an engagement should go ahead and do it. They’re more than okay. I’m satisfied and I’m recommending them to my friends as well.
