At the moment, I am building various functionalities for multiple webshops, and I’m doing everything with custom themes. However, I’ve noticed that I’m working less efficiently now. So, I want to consolidate everything—all functionalities—into a parent theme. Then, for each site, I want to be able to adjust the styling and unique features through a child theme. This means, for example, that I would only need to update WooCommerce template files once in the parent theme. I would only need to set up the Vite environment once, and I’d only have to build and update the basic components and functionalities once.

So, my question is: can you guide me through the process of merging four themes I currently have into one well-functioning parent theme? I also need help with integrating the child theme, so I can easily work with both.

• The project scope also include the usage of html5 files to be uploaded in the backend and to be run by the platform.

• the coaching platform is ready in time. Coditive even over delivered in time, as we needed to be ready for an exhibition.

A few years ago, we implemented AMP on our WooCommerce shops. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a poor decision. Removing AMP from our WooCommerce shops was a very labor-intensive process and too extensive for our in-house developers. Therefore, we retained Coditive for removing AMP from our online shops. Coditive first created a project plan and then took over the necessary coding work. The revised code was then reviewed by our in-house developer and subsequently deployed to the live sites.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Full AMP code removal allowed to us a number of features that so far we hadn't been able to implement because of AMP. In addition, AMP caused numerous onpage SEO errors that are gone since the non-AMP code is live.

Coditive assigned an in-house project manager to this project. She managed the project confidently and very professionally (was very responsive). The project deadline was slightly exceeded due to the project's complexity, but Coditive handled this very well and proactively.

The guys at Coditive were easy to work with. They executed tasks that we prioritized in our project management tool with relatively little supervision and at a high standard. The communication was good, and they left detailed comments about the tasks in the project management tool. They responded well when we asked them to complete several tasks with aggressive deadlines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I like that they are low maintenance and able to complete their tasks reasonably quickly and at a high standard. Most tasks did not have to be re-done. I also enjoyed their flexibility with the contractual terms.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Coditive could have done differently?

A few months into our engagement, they sent us to sign a retainer contract without discussing it first. I would have expected them to schedule a call with us first to discuss it. In general, I felt that they always prefer to communicate using written communication. However, sometimes a call is more appropriate, especially to discuss complex topics.
