BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the lead frontend developer of a company providing planograms and space management services for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SMBs) and large-scale enterprise-based applications. We have a product called Park Cloud, and we’ve been in business for over 30 years now.

In my role, I work closely with our product and sales teams to achieve our goals. I also do a lot of code reviewing and work with other members of our team to assign them tasks and ensure the completion of our software development processes. Moreover, I deal with our executive team to provide them with feedback about our progress.

We hired Codesy Consulting to provide us with frontend development services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Codesy Consulting provides us with frontend development services. They’ve built our Park Cloud app from scratch on React, using Material UI to style, create, and develop its architecture. After completing the product, we’ve continued working with them to add more features based on our client's feedback.

This is a web-based app, but it can also be used on iOS and Android devices, although it isn’t built on native technologies. Users like Walmart or Costco can leverage this app to create, import, compare, and manage planograms.

What is the team composition?

We work with two senior frontend React developers from Codesy Consulting.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested almost $100,000 in the project.

What is the status of the engagement?

We began our partnership in November 2021, and we’re still working together.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We currently have two large companies using the app built by Codesy Consulting: Walmart and PepsiCo. Given that ours is a subscription-based service, were generating around $100,000 per year with those clients. Still, we haven’t officially rolled out the product, so we expect that our sales team can bring more potential clients to our pipeline once we do.

How did Codesy Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

Codesy Consulting’s performance has been great overall because both developers always perform exceptionally well. They’re great at meeting deadlines and working within our budget, and they’re always very collaborative and available to work with other members of our team. 

We ideally release new features every two-week sprint cycle, and we have daily meetings to see the progress of those cycles. As for project management tools, we use Microsoft Teams for communication and Azure DevOps for assigning and tracking daily tasks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Codesy Consulting's dedication and talent are wonderful. We’ve had a great experience working with them because they’re very collaborative and creative. Additionally, they have great in-depth knowledge of frontend development technology, which is impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

So far, everything has been good; I would only advise them to keep their consistency.

Don't be afraid to ask any questions; they answer them in a way so that you can understand the project and what they offer.
